Buschbacher Michelle Kroupa NOON Tom Pandolfo Laurie Schueppert Dear Parishioners, Over these next several weeks, I have appointments in my calendar to be at a grade school, a high school, a parish, or other Catholic ins tu on to assist with the Sacrament of Reconcilia on. Tis the season, Lent. We priests are in high demand to help hear Confessions, usually en masse. I am profoundly affected by penitents who come to the Sacrament with a sincere awareness of what s going wrong in their life or a mistake that has been made and express to God a sincere desire to address the issue. It is empowering. Admi edly, it also requires from us a dose of courage. As Catholics the Sacrament of Reconcilia on is an integral part of our spiritual matura on process. Going to Confession is a most cathar c experience. Ar- cula ng aloud our faults and shortcomings can have a powerful effect on our life. We acknowledge that there is a problem in our lives, and it is called sin. And things must change. The Gospels show the importance of the forgiveness of our sins. Lives of saints prove that the person who grows in holiness has a stronger sense of sin, sorrow for sins, and a need for the Sacrament of Penance or Confession. This Sacrament is a powerful help to get rid of our weaknesses, grow in holiness, and lead a more balanced and virtuous life. This Tuesday evening, March 19 th at 7:00 in the evening, our parochial vicar/associate pastor, Fr. Andrew Burkemper is giving a presenta on en tled: A Lenten Gi of Grace and Mercy. Following this talk, our church will remain open for anyone who would like to partake in the Sacrament of Reconcilia on. We will have several priest confessors available. If you have been away from the Sacrament for a while, this is an excellent opportunity to experience God s mercy again in your life. God s blessings for a meaningful Lent!

CLOW is offered at the 4pm Saturday Mass and the at 8:30am, 10:15 am and noon Masses on Sunday throughout the school year. Volunteers are always needed to lead or assist in this rewarding ministry. No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. All volunteers must be in compliance with the Protec ng God s Children program.
