2 A Note Regarding the Great Preacher Award Dear Parishioners, We are extremely proud and excited to announce that the Aquinas Institute of Theology has chosen our beloved pastor, Fr. Ed Stanger, to receive the 2017 Great Preacher Award. What a well-deserved honor for someone who has impacted so many people both in our parish and beyond through his lived ministry and preaching of the Word! We know that many of you will want to participate in this wonderful celebration, so please know that all are invited to reserve a table the evening that the award is bestowed upon him. The event will take place at the Cedars Banquet Hall on Thursday, October 19 th at 7:00pm. Information about how to reserve a table will be found on the next page. One reason we re so excited about helping other congrega ons learn about Stephen Ministry is that it is making a significant difference in the life of our own congrega ons. Since we began Stephen Ministry in 1996, over 100 laypeople have gone through 50 hours of training in order to provide quality one-to-one Chris an care to hur ng people. They will also interact and play with children in their age group and get to know other children of the parish.
