I have received many notes of apprecia on from those in our community that we had the opportunity to assist with Christmas cheer: the Wellston Center in North St. Louis, the many Giving Tree families, the families our St. Vincent de Paul Society has assisted, our homeless brothers at Sts. Peter and Paul in Soulard, our friends who assist the homeless at St. Francis Xavier College Church, our friends at St. Martha s Hall, the women and children who are offered assistance through the Kathy J. Weinman Shelter in North St. Louis, as well as all those who were given food and assistance through the St. Wenceslaus Food Pantry in South City. SENIORS AND IRA DISTRIBUTIONS: The Required Minimum Distribu on (RMD) IRA Rollover allows people age 70½ and older to make direct transfers totaling up to $100,000 per year to Holy Infant, without having to count the transfers as income for federal income tax purposes. Transfers must come from your IRA directly to Holy Infant. If you have re rement assets in a 401k, 403b etc., you must first roll those funds into an IRA, and then you can direct the IRA provider to transfer the funds from the IRA directly to Holy Infant. Contact your plan provider to learn their procedures. Make sure that you contact us when you direct the rollover so we can look for the check from your plan provider. A Community Options Specialist is coming from Aging Ahead to give an overview of services offered by the non-for-profit agency. Come and learn of numerous resources available in the community! Lunch will be POTLUCK, so names beginning with letters in each of the following categories, bring something in that category to share: A - G SOUP or CHILI; H - N SALAD; O - Z DESSERT It is not too late to join the Seniors if you are over 55 and a member of Holy Infant. There are still 6 months of fun activities planned. So, bring a check, payable to HIS for $10 to the meeting. Plan to arrive early to get registered. A Blessed Prayer Shawl is Perfect for Many Occasions Giving a Prayer Shawl is all about sharing God's love with others. So how about giving a Prayer Shawl to someone who needs to feel wrapped in God's love? It can be for an adult, a child or even an infant. In this season of God's love, share His love by giving a blessed Prayer Shawl, which was prayerfully made by a caring parishioner! There is no fee, but yarn or dona ons are welcome! We have created and sponsor Px90, Tuesdays with HIM, and the 7th grade boys and girls night out with their fathers. We will add more spiritual growth opportuni es for Holy Infant men in the future.
