VINCENT DE PAUL We recently were blessed by the Grace of God and the Stewardship provided by the Parish. Our family was in desperate need of financial assistance when we decided to reach out and ask for help. Within days, we were visited. Thanks to Holy Infant s community, our family was able to sleep without worrying about our electric being disconnected. We were able to have lunches for our boys and have a healthy dinner together. Thank you for your gifts. We promise to pay it forward. Our ministry brings concrete aid and comfort of the Gospel to those who are poor and suffering. This 8-part series reveals Mary's unique role in God's Kingdom and in the lives of the faithful. From now on, every 2nd Tuesday evening at 6:30pm, in the Chapel, we will pray the Perpetual Help Devotions, followed immediately by Benediction. Blue Mass - September 16 First responders are invited to the 2018 Blue Mass to be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a recep on at Boland Hall. We invite all first responders to wear uniforms, gather ahead of me in front of the Cathedral Basilica and process into the Cathedral at the beginning of the Mass. Special prayers will be offered for our first responders, and they will be recognized during the Mass. The Blue Mass gets its name from the blue uniforms worn by so many public safety personnel. The Mass dates back to 1934 and is a venerable tradi on in many dioceses. It calls forth in us a greater awareness of and gra tude for the lives of those who serve us so faithfully.

A reception will follow. Share the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe and promote respect for life by participating in this meaningful pilgrimage. The Silver Rose program demonstrates the unity between Knights of Columbus in Canada, the United States and Mexico, through a series of prayer services promoting the dignity of all human life and honoring Our Lady. Each year, from early March through mid-december, Silver Roses are stewarded by Knights of Columbus councils along routes from Canada to Mexico. Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion for Knights, parishioners and community members to pray for respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation, and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

9 R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Come, Seek, and Learn about the Catholic Church! Sessions start in September! Think and pray about finding him in the Catholic Church, the Church Jesus Himself founded 2,000 years ago. Open your heart. Listen for His call, and go to Him. 10 Ministry of the Month: Stephen Ministry The name Stephen Ministry comes from St. Stephen, who was the first layperson commissioned by the Apostles to provide caring ministry to those in need. There are more than 7,000 congrega ons enrolled in the Stephen Series, represen ng more than 90 different Chris an denomina ons and come from all 50 states, 9 Canadian provinces, and 18 other countries. More than 37,000 individuals have been trained as Stephen Leaders. These Stephen Leaders have returned to their congrega on to train over 300,000 laypersons to be Stephen Ministers. It is es mated that since 1975 Stephen Ministers have provided dis nc vely Chris an care to well over half a million people through formalized one-to-one caring rela onships and have used their caregiving skills to touch the lives of millions of others in an informal way. Stephen Ministry came to Holy Infant in During the past thirteen years almost 100 men and women from Holy Infant have each received 50 hours of training and haven given care to countless numbers of people. Our Stephen Ministers are the most dedicated people you will ever meet. Stephen Ministers are not counselors. They are trained Chris an caregivers. Their role is to listen and to care not to counsel or advise. Stephen Ministry is a supervised ministry. Stephen Ministers engage in twice-monthly supervision to ensure that they are providing the best quality Chris an care for their care receivers. Stephen Ministry is a confiden al ministry.
