Please call the rectory at to set up an appointment with a Priest. First time parents and godparents are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Session. Only when Certificates of Eligibility from godparents are presented, then a date for the baptism can be set. The Baptism Preparation Sessions are held the first Sunday of the month at 12:30 PM in the Upper Church, with registration required. To register, please cali the parish secretary during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Registration must be made prior to the last Friday of the month. If no registrations are received, a session may not be held. This is it! We now enter the holiest week of the year, remembering Our Lord's passion that atoned for our- sins and reconciled us to God. Jesus redeemed us all and gave perfect glory to God through His Paschal (Easter) Mystery: dying. He destroyed our death and rising. He restored our life. Therefore, the Easter Triduum begins with Holy Thursday's Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper, reaches its high point in the Easter Vigil Mass, and ends on Easter Sunday night. I encourage you and your families tc:>participate in the various celebrations of Holy Week: the final time for confession before Easter is this Monday, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM; the Solemn Celebration of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM; and especially, the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday evening at 7:30 PM. Masses on Easter Sunday will be: 7:30, 9:30, and 11:3() AM. I remind you of the Paschal Fast to be observed this Good Friday and if possible, on Holy Saturday as well: no meat and less food. By observing this fast, we will receive the joys of Our Lord's Resurrection with uplifted and responsive hearts. Night Prayer will be celebrated on Holy Thursday at 10:00 PM. Morning Prayer will be celebrated on Good Friday morning at 9:00 AM, and Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. Stations of the Cross will be prayed on Good Friday evening at 7-:00 PM. You are also welcome to join me on Good Friday, at 12 noon, for an Ecumenical Prayer Service at First Presbyterian Church, 1356 Summit Road. Have a very blessed and fruitful Holy Week. All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the FundsZOrgs network of microenterprise partners In developing nations.
