Please call the rectory at to set up an appointment with a Priest. First time parents and godparents are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Session. Only when Certificates of Eligibility from godparents are presented, then a date for the baptism can be set. The Baptism Preparation Sessions are held the first Sunday of the month at 12:00 PM in the Upper Church, with registration required. Our communal celebration of the Sacrament is an opportunity for our parish to pray together for the Lord's healing to come upon our sick brothers and sisters. 4 FRDM THE PASTOR'S DESK On this Respect life SUnday, the Church invites us to recommit ourselves to faithfully and courageously defend and promote the sacredness of all human life from conception to natural death, especially that of the unborn child, the very sick and dying and people with disabilities. ( invite you to join me and about a dozen other pre-lifers outside Planned Parenthood in Media on Saturdays between noon and 1:00 PM to pray the rosary. 5 SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PRA YER PROGRAM FOOD PANTRY UPDATE You are asked to spiritually adopt a baby who Is known to God to be In danger of abortion. Every day for the nine months of the baby's development, please pray the prayer that follows. Ask that your baby's mother be given the guidance and support needed to choose life for her unborn child. We place our trust in God's love for each unborn child that our prayers will save the life of this unborn baby and spare the mother the grief and guilt of abortion. At the end of each month the parish bulletin will have an update on the physical development of your spiritually adopted baby. DAILY SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PRAYER: Jesus,Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the /lfe of the unborn child whom I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion. After a busy summer and back to school activities, our Food Pantry is in need of many items. If you are able, we need canned meat and tuna, soup, veggies, cereal, pasta and sauce, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit, toilet paper, paper towels and tissues. If you know anyone in need of food in Delaware County, our food pantry hours are Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. 6 Our school year got off without a hitch! We opened our doors to 235 students. We are excited to jump into our new school year. We are focusing on our Superhero- themed virtues in our Primary grades and our 8 Fundamental Keys of Excellence in our Upper grades. I sure do miss my summer days, but it was definitely time to say goodbye to the summer. Now I get to look forward to snow days/ I love a good day off! We have had a great start youth group world. to the year in the I am so pleased with our success so far. We served over 60 students during our first week.
