As a mmbr of th Hous Education and Workforc Committ, Congrssman Alln undrstands that ducation and workforc go hand and hand togthr. This law rducs th fdral rol of K-12 ducation and strngthns ducation by rturning th powr to th parnt and th local school systms. H also playd an important rol in Th Strngthn Carr and Tchnical Education for th 21st Cntury Act that Prsidnt Trump signd into law arlir in August of this yar. This is not th first incidnt involving a Lim product as a bik was found in a tr by th Univrsity Bookstor and anothr scootr was found on top of th Carroll Builidng. Th scootr was found on an orang raft anchord in th middl of th lak with a small Gorgia Southrn Univrsity flag flying from its handlbars. This is not th first incidnt involving Lim products, as on involvd a bik in a tr and anothr a scootr on top of th Carroll building. Studnts wr undrstandably confusd by th lak s nwst dcoration. Erin Donaldson, frshman psychology major said in a dirct mssag, that sh and hr roommat wr walking out of th Dining Commons and saw two mals carrying a Lim bik around th back of th Univrsity Stor. According to a twt by GS studnt Tylr Hicks, th walkout, sit-in and march will bgin at th Carroll Building and nd at th Marvin-Pittman Building on Swthart Circl. Th twt asks thos participating to war all black. Studnts ar thn askd to walk quitly out of thir classs at 11:11 a.m. and mt in th Carroll Atrium for a sit-in. At 4 p.m., studnts will gathr to march from th Carroll Building to th prsidnt s offic at th Marvin-Pittman Building. On March 15, Statsboro PD postd its first twt rgarding locking vhicls at 9 p.m. to hlp prvnt thft, using th hashtag #lockyourcar. Sinc this initial twt, th SPD has twtd priodically at 9 p.m. to rmind popl in Statsboro to lock thir cars. SPD Chif Mik Broadhad said in a prvious Gorg- Ann articl that in 2016, thr wr a total of 289 ntring auto cass, of which 51 wr forcd ntry and 238 wr to unlockd vhicls. In 2017, thr wr a total of 212 ntring auto cass, which 38 wr forcd and 174 wr to unlockd vhicls.
