Nyhat sad, " ealze that," and al- *lowed the cowd to poceed up the stas to the fouth floo, whee the meetng was beng held. Nyhat offeed to allow thee students nto the meetng, but he was shouted down. Mke Albet '69 was then told that he should be nsde the meetng, but he efused, sayng, "'m stayng wth the people." Students shouted, "Alght, they've got a mnute!" and poceeded to count down to zeo. When the count eached zeo, eveyone began to suge fowad acoss the table bacade. A faculty call to suppot the Moatoum appeas on page 5 of ths ssue. The. call, whch seeks cessaton of the naton's "senseless and tagc" nvolvement n the wa and uges membes of the communty to patcpate n the Moatoum was sgned by ove.300 membes of the faculty and admnstaton n only two 'days of cculaton. Gay Gut '70 noted that Wellesley College had offcally voted to close on Octobe 15 and uged that MT take an nsttutonal stand. n esponse Johnson ead a statement of hs pesonal vews on the wa. He condemned t as havng a deblatng affect on the county n geneal and on hghe educaton n patcula. Howeve, Johnson also stated that he dd not beleve that closng the nsttute entely would be the most desable couse of acton and uged the adopton of an altenatve poston. MT would obseve the Moatoum, sad Johnson, n the followng ways: postponng the egula faculty meetng scheduled fo Octobe 15, povdng facltes fo anyone who wshed to hold dscusson goups o meetngs about the wa and the moatoum, and allowng each class to decde fo tself whethe t wshed to meet on the 15th.
