Sincee we alll have a one year term I am going too try take advantage of the chance too enjoy my term this year, becausee if thingss stay the same, this year will fly by before you know it. After one Business Meeting I can tell that our Assemblyy will be growing soon, that is a good thing. Being well represented at the Exemplification again is what we need. Soo I am now inviting each every Sir Knight in General Worth Assembly to become current in their dues too participate in our functions in recruiting. Those of you who do have Regalia but would rather stayy close to home to do stings, like at your Parish otherss places close to you, there is nothing wrong with that. Thee important thing is that you do make the effort show up. And for those of you who only have a Tux, stop deprivingg your Lady Knight of some good dress up social time! Noww those of you who have out grown your Tux, this is the time too replenish your wardrobe get another one! (Smile) Whatever the reason has been for so many of youu members who fail to join your fellow Sir Knights at Assemblyy socials, Patriotic Rosaries Assembly meetings, it is noww time to return make the effort to participate d fellowship. I am also asking all of us who do attend Assemblyy functions to invite those Sir Knights we know to return to at least a few Assembly meetings, especially new Sir Knights. Lastly, don't forget to invite those Knights who havee committed to attend thee next Exemplification for becomingg Sir Knights to also attend our Flag Retirement Ceremony too meet their new Brothers. When considered in the context of current events, it may have been more prophetic than humorous. There are signs that indicate Good is losing the battle with Evil. Open the paper, listen to the radio, watch television, or surf the web, the evidence of cultural decay overwhelms one s senses. According to Lifenews.com, theree have been 57,762,169 Abortions in America since Roe vs. Wade in Centers for Disease Control Prevention reports alll homicides deaths for 2014 at 16,121. The number of executions in the United States since 1976 is 1,412 people put to death. 3 CAPTAIN S CORNER Fellow Sir Knights As the evil one continues to rear his ugly head in this great nation, let us be ever vigilant. We mourn the soldiers whose lives were cut short by a misguided d individual following a false doctrine. Let us pray that God receives them holds accountable the Darkness that led to this path of Death. Also, may Congress act against the Evils of the largest death camp of Satan here on earth Planned Parenthood. As we learned this week, for quite some time, they have been selling the organs of the innocents they slaughter. May we all fight vigilantly for God s precious new beginnings, pray the Lord to influence those necessary to facilitate rightful, overdue change in this offensee to humanity to God. As we draw closer to Exemplification this year, let s all do our part to ensuree we bring in our Brothers ready for advancement to the Fourth Degree. Meet one on one with possible cidates in your respective Councils, show our enthusiasm for what we do. Urge Brother Knights to attend our yearly Flag Retiremen nt Ceremony. What a wonderful first glimpse into our workings. Urge them to attend one of the Patriotic Rosaries, because our county needs all our prayers! Prior to the upcoming Exemplification, we will have a Social date set for really gettingg to know our new Brothers. Please let me know, at the August meeting, what Spirits you favor for the Flag Retirement picnic. I know how disgruntled guys can be, when the wrong beer is chosen. SK Michael Walker, Faithful Captain Cell: : kwaknet33@sbcglobal.net TRUSTEE REPORT Sir Knights Families, It is not Fatherr Kapauns birthday, orr MOH anniversary, norr Ordination Anniversary, but it is a good time too review take from this man s extraa great life. If you have not read his story, you are missing a great inspirational reading. Father Kapauns was a U.S. Army Chaplain serving in the Koreann Warr until he died in the North Koreann Prison Camp at Pyoktong. The North Koreans hated Fatherr Kapauns for several reasons. As a prisoner, he always found a way to out- smart the guards. He would go out at night to steal food (he did not call it food or stealing) to bring back to otherr prisoners, mostly who were dying. Hee never took any credit for his great workk deeds, nor for administering of thee Sacraments to all the prisoners. All Father Kapauns awards, accolades d recognitions came from the Soldiers hee served those whose lives he saved. What a great person to pattern ourr daily lives after, most of all teachh our children the heroic deeds Fatherr Kapauns accomplished.
