His staff and the Degree team perform an elegant, dignified and beautiful service. Our Color Guard lead by our Worthy Commander SK Vincent Marinelli performed the colors at the degree and banquet in their usual outstanding way and finally SK Paul DiOrio and his staff ran an outstanding Hospitality Room. Thanks to all, you made me look good. We had 18 members of the 3 rd degree that moved up to the 4 th degree. Congratulations to all. I hope to see them at our meetings and to take an active role in the committees we have in the assembly. One committee which is always getting acknowledged is our Honor Guard, so if you are interested, don t hesitate to contact me. On November 12, 2017, we will hold our Memorial Mass at 12 Noon at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church. Their address is 37 Union Avenue, Amityville. Following the Mass, we will hold our Candlelight Service for our deceased Brothers who passed away during the year. A repast will follow. For members, there is a minimal charge of $15.00pp; however for the 1 st 2 next of Kin members of the deceased members family there is no charge. Please come out to show your support for the families of our deceased Brother Sir Knights. If possible, it would be nice to have a member of their Council present to support the families. 3 Faithful Friars Message 100 Anniversary Of Fatima Since we belong to Our Lady of Fatima Assembly it is all the more practical and useful to think about and pray about the 100 th Anniversary of Fatima. We carefully analyze the apparitions and requests, and amazing miracles that took place in Fatima and cleans up lingering questions about their meaning. The readers are challenged to hear anew the call of our Lady to prayer and sacrifice in reparation for sin and the conversion of the world. An intimate biography of Sister Lucia seen through the eyes of the Carmelite Sisters who shared in her daily Life for 57 years in Portugal. Our Lady of Fatima pray for us. Fr. 5 COMPTROLLERS CORNER This month of November is here and this is the month when we go to the polls and vote. I know it is an off year, but it is important because it is the local and state elections and some other things that are very important. This month we also celebrate Thanksgiving Day, and looking around we have a lot to be thankful for. Remember it is from God we get this GREAT country. Brothers if you want any information concerning the Assembly, better get your address to the editor. This also pertains to your annual dues bill in November/December. Those who want to pay your dues; you don t need a formal bill if you cannot get one, just send a check made out to OUR LADY OF FATI- MA ASSEMBLY. Please DON T make checks payable to me as the bank has problem depositing 3 rd party checks. All will be on the web site and there will be paper copies at the meetings. If you MOVE, PLEASE let me know, also if you change your phone number. If you get married also let me know so I can adjust my records.
