John 10:1-10 On April 22nd we had another great meeting and thanks to all who attended. Once again, special thanks to St. Dominic Council 3729 Fourth Degree members for hosting this meeting and providing another delicious meal. Due to the parking situation downtown, St. Dominic has agreed to host the May 27th meeting. This is also our election meeting. On Saturday, April 18th the 4th Degree Promotional meeting was held in Baton Rouge. I along with S/K Paul Gagnet, S/K Douglas Saunders and S/K L. A. Grossimon attended this meeting. A couple of months ago Bienville Assembly presented the Patriotic Essay Award and a check for $50.00 to Miss Kathleen Keen, a 7th grade student at St. Angela Merici School. It doesn t stop there. Miss Keen was chosen as the New Orleans Diocese winner. For this she will receive a Certificate and a $ check from the State. Again, a big thank you to Sir Knight Douglas Saunders for all his hard work as Chairman of the Patriotic Committee. On a personal note on Sunday, May 3rd I will receive the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion from Archbishop Gregory Aymond at St. Louis Cathedral. If you are receiving this honor, at the same time, please let me know so I can include it in next month s newsletter. Save the date. Installation of Officers, Sunday, June 28, More on this later. Bruneau May 30 th The 4th Degree Exemplification will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Gonzales at St. Mark's Catholic Church Activities Center. Please note the changes from past Exemplifications as far as the registration time, the banquet time and the Exemplification time itself. This time there will be a Vigil Mass at 4:00 PM when all is finished. Please go to your Councils and talk up the 4th Degree and let the 3rd Degree members know that this is close by (only about 1 hour from New Orleans). Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 27, Since the Form 4 has to be submitted no later than May 20th let me know if you have a candidate and I, along with the admission team, will come to your Council to do an admission. Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Louisiana District David J. Lemaire, Sr. District Master 102 Kendrick Drive Slidell, La (985) dave@davelemaire.com On Saturday May 30, 2015, the District of Louisiana has scheduled a Fourth Degree Exemplification in Gonzales, LA. at St Mark s Catholic Church Activities Center, Gonzales La., Msgr. Arthur Lieux Assembly #2052 will host the Exemplification. The Exemplification will be held at the St Mark s Activity Center located on the grounds of St Mark s Church Hwy. 621, Gonzales, LA. Registration will be from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the Activity Center (Signs will be posted). The banquet in the Fr. Clement K of C Hall Bayou Black Road Gonzales, LA and will begin at 11:15AM. The Exemplification will begin at 1:30PM in the St. Mark s Activity Center and conclude at approximately 3:30PM. The Vigil Mass will be at 4:00PM in the Church.

6 Page 6 The Exemplification cost for candidates is $70.00, which includes their banquet meal, Social Baldric and Fourth Degree Lapel Pin. The cost of the banquet for all Sir Knights, their spouses, candidate s spouses and guests will be $ Reservations must be made with the Master with the forms provided no later than May 20, Any request for banquet tickets received after the deadline cannot be guaranteed. As a reminder, the official dress code for all candidates and Sir Knights for all Fourth Degree Exemplifications is black tuxedo, plain white pleated tuxedo shirt with lay down collar, black bow tie, black cummerbund, black socks and black shoes. This is a must, NO EXCEPTIONS except priest and military. Visiting Sir Knights will wear their social baldric with their attire. The only exceptions are clergy, deacons in clerics if allowed and candidates presently enlisted in military service who may wear their FULL dress uniform. All registration forms and Form 4 (must be filled out completely) for candidates for this Exemplification and must be received no later than May 20, Checks should be made payable to: Master s Fund, one check for all candidates from the assembly. Forward only the Supreme Secretary s and the Master s copy of the Form 4 with the checks. For proper arrangements for meals and check-in, it is imperative that we keep to the deadline. Any registration after this date cannot guarantee the candidate s name in the program or that a certificate can be presented to him at the ceremony.
