4 Worship Notes This morning we celebrate Holy Communion. We welcome visitors in our midst to partake of the Lord s Supper with us if you are a professing member of a church that holds the Bible to be God s infallible Word and if you profess your faith in the triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). This morning offering is for the Benevolent Fund to minister to the needs within our community. Individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances can contact one of the deacons to request assistance from this fund. This evening s offering is for the Building Fund to pay for repairs and purchases for the parsonage, church building, and church equipment, including maintenance of the buildings and grounds and any needed additions to accommodate the growing church. Verse of the Week Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil s schemes. Our Combined Annual Day of Prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM this Wednesday at Alto CRC. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 Next Sunday morning we will joyfully participate in the covenant baptism of Heidi Elaine Schaver, daughter of Eric & Stacy. St. Ben s Project Spring 2012: There are lots of open slots for food donations for the meal we will be providing on Friday, March 23. Please sign up in the basement today. Sunday Night Bible Study will meet at 5:30 PM today at Gregg & Kristi Zonnefeld s. Council will meet at 8:00 PM tomorrow. Please inform an elder or deacon if you have any matter for Council. VBS will be held in our church this summer from Monday July 16 to Friday July 20! It is going to be a wonderful week where we learn that No Matter Who You Are Trust God! Right now please pray that the Lord will bless our VBS program and that we will have many kids come and many volunteers to welcome them. If you have any questions please call Dominique at Community Events The Christian Home & Rehabilitation Center asks for your support to fulfill an important capital equipment purchase. We need to purchase 2 therapeutic bath tubs due to mechanical problems with our present tubs. One tub cannot be repaired and the other is more costly to repair than buy new. The Invacare TheraPure Bathing System will best meet the physical and medical needs of our rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents as the system offers side entry, whirlpool jets, and an automatic lift and body weight system. We have worked with various vendors and buying groups to obtain the best price of $14,800 per bathtub. With the churches help and that of parishioners and the community, we hope to raise $29,600. Your tax deductible monetary gift will help the Christian Home & Rehabilitation Center continue as an important resource to the community. 7 The Joy of Connections, a Focus on Women day of exhibits and presentations for women of Dodge County will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 3:30-8:30 PM at the Bayside Supper Club (W9231 Cty Tk G, Beaver Dam). Sponsored by the Beaver Dam Community Hospital, the evening includes a light sandwich buffet. Pre-registration is required with an $8.00 non-refundable registration fee by April 5. Around the World CRWRC Responds to U.S. Tornadoes: CRWRC Disaster Response Services (DRS) early response managers are making assessments in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky after 64 tornadoes touched down in 14 states last week. The storm systems caused widespread damage, multiple injuries, and killed 52 people. You can help tornado survivors with your financial gift by marking your donation CRWRC-DRS Spring Storms 2012 and placing in any offering. Thank you. Ministry Webinar - Walking Alongside our Muslim Neighbours: In this session we'll examine some of the basic beliefs and practices of Islam and learn why loving Muslims is biblical. Included are real life examples from an ongoing North American ministry to Muslims. Our Presenter: Greg Sinclair is the Training Coordinator for AMAM (Advancing Ministry Among Muslims), a multi-agency CRC initiative to encourage outreach to Muslims in North America. 10 The Union Update March 2012 Union Tid Bits 1. We have been averaging 75 students on Saturday nights in We have had over 200 ad the middle school dances in Campus Life & Campus Life M are both growing & having consistent attendance! 4. An update goes out to over 70 people each month 5. We are out of cookie dough! We could use some chocolate chip cookie dough to keep the kids happy on Saturday nights! Want in on the fun?! The Union is a local youth center located in the old middle school building in Waupun. It is a part of the Fond du Lac Area chapter of Youth For Christ. Campus Life, Campus Life JV, Middle School dances, and High School Hang Out are a few of the events that take place at The Union. On any give week The Union could have between 50 to 500 teens walk through its doors.
