EUCHARISTIC ADORATION EVERY TUESDAY at St. Thomas Aquinas Church from 9am 6:00pm. (If there is a funeral on that day, Eucharistic Adoration will resume after the funeral.) 4 CLUSTER/DIOCESAN CORNER CHARISMATIC HEALING SERVICE: Following the 6pm Mass on August 30th at the St Luce Church. The Mass will be followed immediately with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, praying the Chaplet of the Holy Spirit and time for confession while the charismatic prayer service is in progress. Those who wish can approach the prayer teams to be prayed over by them. Silent prayer for peace, healing and reconciliation in the world is also encouraged. BAPTISMAL PREP SESSION: Saturday, September 10th, 9:30am at the NEW St. Thomas Center. The Mass annually recognizes the dedication and self-sacrifice of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency personnel. FMI visit us at THE 3RD ANNUAL PARISH LIFE CONFERENCE: Saturday, October 1st at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. We begin the day with Mass with Bishop Deeley. Our keynote speakers are Peter Denio and ValLimar Jenson and there are 2 tracks of workshops with 11 workshops to choose from. We have something for everyone, whether you are a catechist, youth minister, volunteer, lector, Eucharistic minister, music minister, serve on the Parish Pastoral Council or are part of the parish staff. The Early Bird deadline is Sept 5, FMI go to The Holy Spirit---God s Loving Mercy Renewal conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, 9am to 5pm at the Sky-Hy Conference & Renewal Center in Topsham. Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, a nationally-known author and presenter, will serve as the keynote speaker. The conference will also include a healing service with Fr. Richard Rice. To Share Knowledge and Faith means informing and forming people in the Gospel principles which enable them to live in accord with their beliefs. The most urgent task today is to lead people to discover both their capacity to know the truth and their yearning for the ultimate and definitive meaning of life (Fides et Ratio #102). Weekly suggestion for the faithful to consider: Week of August 28: Gently reach out to someone who is struggling with their faith. Even if you can t answer all their questions, be a witness of God s love for them.

5 COMMUNITY EVENTS MIZPAH WALK-A-THON: Sunday, August 28 th from 3pm until 12am (Midnight). Purchase a $5 luminary for a loved one. Call , or ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Edmundston. On the first Friday of each month beginning September 2nd, we will have silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament after morning Mass from 8:30am until 4pm in the Cathedral. Everyone is Invited to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament for prayer and adoration. FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH MASS at Mizpah s St. Peregrine Chapel on September 2nd, 1pm American Time and 2pm Canadian Time. Free coffee and donuts will be served immediately after Mass for minutes.
