It connects us with Jesus who connects us with one another. As we acknowledge our dependence on God, we see ourselves connected to each other in Jesus Christ. This connection is not only of this earth. Like God s love for us, it is eternal and connects us with those who have died. This spiritual work of mercy, to pray for the living and the dead, highlights the communion of saints, the reality of our eternal connection. It is the union of all of the members of the Church: those who are pilgrims on earth, those who have died and are preparing for heaven in purgatory, and the blessed in heaven, who are described as saints, thanks to their baptism. In our communion, we are called upon to pray for each other, an obligation that does not end with death I believe in the...the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. Apostles Creed Weekly suggestion for the faithful to consider: Week of November 13, 2016: Pray for Veterans and those who died in service to their country. If you know any veterans, thank them and invite them to share their stories. PLEASE NOTE!!!! The Holy Doors scheduled for Sunday, November 13th has been cancelled!!! Instead we will be attending the St. Luce r egular 6:00pm Mass on Saturday, November 12th, where Fr. Jean Paul Labrie will be closing the Year of Mercy. Everyone invited to attend! Last weeks Second Collection: Thank you for your contribution to last weekends second collection for the Archdiocese of Military Services. Religious Education Request: The religious Education Program is in desperate need of substitute teachers for Kindergarten to Grade 4. Classes are on Thursdays from 2:30 3:30 and the sessions are prepared for you. Please give prayerful consideration. Christmas Concert: The Caribou Choral Society s 2016 Christmas Concert, Fourty Years of Favorites, will be presented at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska on Sunday, Dec. 4th at 3:00 pm; at St. Mary s Church in Presque Isle on Friday, Dec. 9th at 7:00 pm; at Holy Rosary Church in Caribou on Saturday, Dec. 10th at 7:00 pm. It s the perfect way to begin the Christmas season; everyone is welcome and admission is free.
