Students from Grades 3 through Middle School are encouraged to fill out an application. Training will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 9:00 a.m. in the Church Basement. Giving Drink to the Thirsty challenges us to find the means to provide safe drinkable water for all as a recognition of their human dignity. It is not just our bodies, however that thirst. Our souls thirst as well for the living God. Showing mercy to others includes sharing the joy of the Gospel with those whose lives are dry from a lack of meaning. Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water: (John 4:15) Weekly suggestion for the faithful to consider: Week of October 23, 2016: Spend time with a neighbor or loved one who is thirsting for companionship. Snack or dessert donation would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you there! FMI Donna St. John Valley Festival of Trees: The Daughters of Isabella are sponsoring a St. Peter Chanel Religious Ed. Fundraiser. It will be held Saturday, Nov. 12th, 10am to 8pm & Sunday Nov. 13th, 10am to 4pm at the Van Buren Community Center. Tickets will be available to buy at the door for a chance to win your favorite Christmas tree. There will also be Craft vendors and a concession stand serving chili, chicken stew, and hot dogs. All are welcome to come join us for a day of fun. SECOND COLLECTION: This weekend there will be a second collection for World Mission Sunday.
