Anointing of the Sick Please feel free to call the parish office if you would like to have an Eucharistic home visit by one of our parish ministers of the sick. Communion for Sick and Homebound Parishioners Please call the parish offices if you would like to receive Communion we will make the arrangements with the Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick. If You Should Experience the Loss of a Loved One Please call the parish offices. If you feel you will be in need, or your loved one has passed, our Bereavement Ministers will assist in making arrangements with your chosen funeral directors and offer you helpful guidelines that will aid in the Liturgical planning of the Mass or Memorial Service. We know that this can be a tough time and we want you to know that your parish is there for you.

Saturday Vigil Mass During construction of the Elevator Tower at Holy Redeemer, the 4:00 pm Vigil will be held at: St. James the Less This temporary schedule will continue until further notice. Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist? We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm accepting setting. Sessions begin October 16th at 7pm and meet weekly in the Pope John XXIII room in the Dina Martin Ministry Center at Holy Redeemer. SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN Safeguard VIRTUS Session & Re-certification Concurrent with the first time they participate in any programs or activities at a location, all staff, whether paid or volunteer, and all volunteers who work in any capacity with or around children, the elderly, or people with special needs are required to complete the initial three-hour VIRTUS Protecting God's Children for Adults program. and are required to be VIRTUS recertified every four years. Recertification takes place on or before the expiration date of the last certificate. Educated: a memoir is Tara Westover s tale of growing up in a survivalist family with no time for academics. Tara educates herself enough to take the ACT and is accepted to university where her eyes are opened to the world. In November in honor of Veteran s Day, we may choose The Lotus Eaters which takes place in Vietnam if you d like to get a head start on our reading. Reporting Abuse/Misconduct It is important to communicate your concerns if you observe anyone interacting with a child in an inappropriate manner. Parents, family members, teachers, clergy and all who work with or are responsible for the care of children need to remember that speaking up is one of the most important things they can do to protect not just their own children, but all children.
