2 SUNDAY S REFLECTION: Home is where the Family is The idea, dream, and reality of family is so strong and durable that we use it to describe all that is best about human gatherings. We speak of the family of nations, of our church and parish families. The greatest compliment we can pay a friend or gracious host is to say that we feel at home with them, we feel part of the family. Families are the first crucibles in which love is tested and tempered. Jesus himself was one of three people who lived in the shadow of each other. This family, like our own, did not always get it right, but they always tried to. These three amateurs were on holiday, and one of them got lost. Two were worried sick and took great measures to find the third, a boy after all, who was seeking the meaning of his calling. He found his vocation to do his Father s work but he also returned home with his parents. As of December 11: Pledges: $1,639K or 41% of $4 million goal. Payments: $768K or 48% of pledges Donors: 937 participants. We are truly blessed to have many wonderful parishioners like you who continue to pray and support our Parish. Also, our fundraising food sales after Mass are going strong. As of now, we have raised $4,500 an average of $1,500 per week! Thank you! May Jesus, through the intercession of our Lady of Grace, grant us our hearts desire. Holy Mary, help those in need, give strength to the weak, comfort the sorrowful, pray for God's people, assist the clergy, and intercede for religious. May all who seek your help experience your unfailing protection. Amen FINANCIAL STATEMENTS 2018 is coming to an end. Your financial contribution to our Church can be tax deductible; please consider giving especially to the capital campaign of Our Lady of Grace Pastoral Center. Your Financial Contribution Statements for 2018 will be sent by mid January to those contributing above $250. For contributions under $250, statements will be sent upon request. For online giving, please visit HolySpiritFV.org. HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS NEW YEAR HOURS The Faith Formation and Parish Offices will be closed on Monday, December 31 at 12pm through Tuesday, January 1. The Offices will reopen on Wednesday, January 2. On Tuesday, January 1 the Campus will close at 12pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. EURCHARISTIC TRAINING On January 17, at 6:45pm in the Sacristy we will have training for new Eucharistic Ministers. For those who have been wondering how they can serve at Holy Spirit, this is a great opportunity. We are in great need of ministers at all masses. Please pray if you are called to serve. The Mission will be closed from Tuesday, December 18 and will reopen for the volunteers on Tuesday, January 2, st Friday: SACRED HEART OF JESUS Prayers follow the 9:00am Mass every First Friday. Twelve promises are given to those who honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus after nine consecutive months of Mass, Communion, and Confession (eight days before or after) every First Friday of the month. 1 st Saturday: IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY: Prayers and the Fatima Rosary begin at 8:10am every First Saturday to honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary. After five consecutive months of Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, and 15 minutes meditation on its mysteries, there are special promises attached.
