No, God s coming is a source of comfort and joy. Saying it once is not enough, for today s readings are full of joy. Mary s Magnificat substitutes for our psalm today, and our second reading encourages us to rejoice, to give thanks and praise. This is the root meaning of the Greek word for eucharist. We are urged to rejoice and give thanks, because the coming of the Lord brings joy, healing, liberty, release, vindication. It makes the very earth spring up with new life! Good tidings! 3 bâü ctü á{ _ yx Éy fxüä vx NOTE FROM OUR ADMINISTRATOR Dearest Holy Spirit Parishioners, I know many of you have questions and concerns as to the sudden departure of Father Dan Wilder. I would like to clarify that his reassignment came as a shock to me as well. The process of incardination into our Diocese requires any priest to serve at least two parishes within five years. With the transition of our former pastor, Msgr. Tuan Pham and myself in July 2017, Father Dan was asked to stay. However, with the sudden need at St. Hedwig, Father Dan accepted the request of the Bishop. His spirit of charity and obedience to our Bishop is very admirable given the circumstances of his mother s passing in early November. We thank Father Dan for his commitment and service to our Parish. May Jesus bless him as he continues to spread God s message of love. Finally, I know you all want to know if and when we will have a replacement for Father Dan. As of now, we do know that there will be a replacement but we are still waiting for the Diocese to confirm who it will be. With many moving parts, it will be a domino effect. Please be patient with us as we work through this transition together with the Diocese. If you have questions and comments, please do not hesitate to ask.
