2 Sunday s Reflection Drawn Into the Story: We are witnesses! The scripture readings for Easter Sunday concentrate on details reported by eyewitnesses. Listen carefully and you will be drawn into the stories yourself. Peter reports the good works Jesus did, his death on the cross, and his resurrection. The passage from John s Gospel has us running to the empty tomb with Peter and John and peering inside to see the clothes used to cover Jesus body. Psalm 118 sums up our response: It is wonderful in our eyes! What resurrection details do we see in our lives today? How have we died to our old lives and been raised up again with Jesus? Let us pay attention to the new life around us. It is wonderful in our eyes. THE JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY: Reflection Question of the Week Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, as you really are unleavened. For our paschal lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed. (1 Corinthians 5:7) Adult: What are some of the things you need to clean out of your life so as to be a better person? How can the merciful Christ help? Youth: What are some attitudes and behaviors that you are not proud of? How can the risen Christ help you? 4 EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Adoration for April will be on Monday, April 4, after the 9:00am Mass until the 9:00am Mass on Tuesday, April 5. Divine Mercy Sunday Celebration Sunday, April 3 at 3:00pm in Doyle Hall The Divine Mercy Novena began on Good Friday and will continue daily before and after the 6:30am Mass and before the 9:00am Mass. The plenary indulgence is granted under the usual conditions: Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation Receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist Pray for the intentions of our Pope On Divine Mercy Sunday, in a spirit that is completely detached from the affection for a sin, even a venial sin, recite the Our Father and the Creed, and also adding a devout prayer e.g. Merciful Jesus, I trust in you!
