Wednesday, ten (10) days in advance of the weekend of publication. PARISH REGISTRATION: Welcome all new families and individuals. Membership is a condition for the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion at St. Benedict, and for the parish to issue a sponsorship certificate for those asked to be sacramental sponsors. You must be a registered, contributing member for at least three (3) months before a certificate will be given. Registration forms are available in the Parish Office. SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK: If you are seriously ill, going in for surgery or weak from old age, you may receive the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. Please contact Fr. Duong if you desire to receive this sacrament. HOSPITAL & NURSING HOME & SHUT-IN VISITS: If you or any members of your family are sick and in the hospital or a nursing home, and you d like Communion brought to them, please call the Parish Office. FAITH FORMATION: All classes from Pre-K to High School are on Sundays from 9:30-10:30am in the Parish Hall. For more information call Lynne McGrath. 5 PARISH NEWS School is back in session, and the DSA Educational Ministries are preparing to provide many services for our parish catechists faith formation, youth ministry, lay ministry training all have an impact on our own parish! If you haven t made a DSA gift yet, you can do that online at IS THIS YOUR YEAR? 25 TH AND 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION If you are celebrating your Silver or Golden Wedding Anniversary this year, please contact our church office if you wish to be included. The Mass will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Mass begins at 2:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. To receive an invitation you must call our church office to register. RCIA: Are you interested in becoming a Catholic? Are you the one who was baptize in the Catholic Faith, but has not been confirmed? Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the right program for you. Join us on Sept.18 th, 2016 in the Parish Hall. For more information, call Fr. Duc at BIBLE STUDY will begin again on Tuesday, September 6 th at 7pm in the Parish Hall. It is a nine week study of Matthew 5-7; The Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount. Everyone is welcome. BLOOD DRIVE hosted by The Knights of Columbus at St. Benedict s Parish Hall on Friday, Sept. 9th, from 2:00PM to 6:30PM. Walk in s welcome. For reservations please call David Ray at PRIESTS RETIREMENT The annual collection will be the weekend of Sept Your contribution to this important collection is a way to show your gratitude to the priests who serve you so faithfully. Our assessment this year is $8, FIRST FRIDAY will be Friday, Sept. 2nd. We will have Eucharistic Adoration following the 12:15pm Mass and extending until 3pm with Benediction. EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS 2016: SEPT. 9 TH - 10TH The Eucharistic Congress is a very popular, free event that will shine a light on your soul.
