D P : Dear Parents, Children are the joy of our St. Francis de Sales Oratory family, and your reward is great in heaven for generously accepting this gift of Divine Providence. When you have a crying child, particularly during the sermon, the canon of the Mass or when the propers of the Mass texts are sung by the schola, you are kindly asked to make use of the vestibules. You are also requested to prevent the children from running and banging on the pews. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and, above all, for your presence here at St. Francis de Sales Oratory. If you have any suggestions as to how we could make it easier for you to care for your children during Mass, please do not hesitate to let us know. With your continued prayers and support, we will be able to reach our goal! We have collected so far $73, of $96, We are at 73%. In addition, there are two more windows, those immediately to the right of St. Joseph s altar, which are in need of attention. These two windows are of concern since rain comes through during thunderstorms. We hope to start on these two in the future in order to stop the water intrusion. These two will cost around $40,000. 8 TO ALL OUR GUESTS Canon Wiener and the faithful of St. Francis de Sales Oratory welcome you, and hope that your time in the Cathedral of South St. Louis may be an opportunity to share in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Faith. Please enjoy the beauty of this building dedicated to St. Francis de Sales, co-patron of the INSTITUTE OF CHRIST THE KING SOVEREIGN PRIEST. According to liturgical tradition, and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, Holy Communion is received kneeling and on the tongue. All visitors who are not of the Catholic faith are welcome to join us in prayer, but are requested not to receive Holy Communion. Because the reception of Holy Communion is the sign of Divine and Ecclesial unity, only practicing Catholics who are free of mortal sin, and in full communion with the Catholic Church should present themselves for Holy Communion. We pray for the full visible unity among all Christians. To receive more information about the Oratory or if you desire to become a member of the Catholic Church, contact the rectory. St. Francis de Sales Oratory is an Oratory of the INSTITUTE OF CHRIST THE KING SOVEREIGN PRIEST in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
