Talarico, Provincial Superior, will preach three Spiritual Conferences for men (18 years and older). Please mark your calendars and look for details in upcoming bulletins. C C M 21 During the week of May 31-June 4, Saint Francis de Sales Oratory will again host the annual Priest Retreat. Many of the priests who will be attending will be staying the week in the convent. On Saturday, May 21, starting at 9:15am, we will begin cleaning the convent for this important event. Any help you can give, even if just for an hour or two, would be greatly appreciated. If you have questions please contact Abbé Alex at the Oratory. E O R As you may have noticed, the organ is currently unplayable due to the malfunction of several major mechanical parts. One of the leading specialists on pipe organ repair and restoration has inspected our instrument and will provide us a detailed plan for both repair and restoration. It is clear that the reconstruction of this nearly century old organ is necessary, but at this time we don t know what the financial commitment will be. As soon as we know more about the length and costs of the repair work, we will inform you. Please pray to St. Cecilia, the patron of sacred music. C C 2016 R O! For the seventh year, the Institute of Christ the King will return to the beautiful Mount Saint Joseph retreat center for our annual music camp. Carlson, to Saint Francis de Sales Oratory on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 10:30am. Archbishop Carlson will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation and will assist at a Solemn High Mass. Please contact the rectory office if you or your child(ren) would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We can help you review the eligibility requirements and register for classes mandatory for anyone who will be confirmed. Classes will be taught from April to July and from September to October.

4 J 2 6:00 C P R R M. W C H On June 2, the 2016 priest retreat for all canons in the U.S. Province will conclude with a Solemn High Mass celebrated by Msgr. Gilles Wach, Prior General and founder of the Institute. During this Mass one candidate to the oblatehood will receive the cassock. After the Solemn High Mass, there will be a reception in the hall with Msgr. Wach, all canons in the U.S. and the faithful until 9:00pm. Please come and bring your friends! Y A I! O P F Join the Institute for 10 days in Rome, Florence, and the Seminary in Gricigliano during Ordinations Week from June 30 - July 9, 2016, for the spiritual and cultural experience of a lifetime! After three days in Rome, pilgrims will assist at the Pontifical Masses of Ordinations for the Minor Orders, for the Deacons and Subdeacons, as well as for the Priests, which will be conferred by His Eminence, Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke. They will participate in a guided tour of St. Philip Neri International Seminary and of the Institute s Motherhouse, while visiting the beautiful seminary grounds nestled in the Florentine hills among the olive groves and vineyards. Pilgrims are invited to join the seminarians for a buffet dinner and Ordinations banquet with fireworks. Departure from Chicago O Hare. Organized by Pentecost Tours. If you wish to donate toward the insurance assessment, please use your envelopes designated for this purpose in order that your donation may be booked correctly. 5 S G W R U We are pleased to announce that we have raised the funds necessary to pay the last installment of our window repair bill. We are now planning with the Emil Frei company the timeline when to start work on our new project, the windows above the St. Joseph altar (please see adjacent box). J W R We hope to start on these two precious stained glass windows in the near future in order to stop the water intrusion and to provide additional insulation. The British composer Sasha Johnson Manning will be present for the world premiere of one of her works.

This involves light dust mopping and clearing the pews of handouts, etc. New volunteers will be most welcome and can call the office at (314) to sign up. According to liturgical tradition, and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, Holy Communion is received kneeling and on the tongue. All visitors who are not of the Catholic faith are welcome to join us in prayer, but are requested not to receive Holy Communion. Because the reception of Holy Communion is the sign of Divine and Ecclesial unity, only practicing Catholics who are free of mortal sin, and in full communion with the Catholic Church should present themselves for Holy Communion.
