Concerning the obliga on to a end Mass, one is obliged to a end Mass twice: once for the Fourth Sunday of Advent and once for Christmas. Mass for the Fourth Sunday of Advent will be at the regular mes on the evening of the 23 rd and morning of the 24 th. Mass for Christmas will begin with the 4pm Mass on the 24 th. So, every Catholic is obliged to a end Saturday evening or Sunday morning and Sunday evening or Monday morning. Dear Parishioners, Thank you, thank you, thank you for your very posi ve response to this year s Advent Giving Tree! I was confident that people would be suppor ve of this annual charitable project, but I didn t quite realize how extraordinarily generous people would be! The outpouring of gi s was truly amazing! I am proud to announce that all of the gi s will be distributed by the end of this week to the various charitable organiza ons that provide much valuable assistance to individuals and families in need. This past week, gi s were delivered to the Wellston Center. Friends from Sts. Peter and Paul ministries came to Holy Infant and picked up all of the gi s for the homeless men. We also gave gi cards to the Kathy Weinman Center which provides shelter for vic ms of domes c violence. We also distributed gi cards to our local food pantry at our sister parish, St. Wenceslaus, and our St. Vincent De Paul Society who offer food, rent, u li es and transporta on to people who are in special need. This week, the Li le Sisters of the Poor will come by our parish to pick up the supplies and gi s given for the people that our sisters serve. Our friends from St. Martha s Hall who provide shelter for abused women and their children will also come by our parish to pick up all of the gi s that were brought to our tree for their special ministry. Special thanks to the great work of Amy Schulte and her group of dedicated volunteers who did a fantas c job in organizing this year s Advent Giving Tree. Thanks, again, to all of you who responded so charitably to this special annual project that helps to brighten the holidays for so many families! God s blessings to you and your families! Peter & Paul Men's Homeless Shelter in Soulard. Would you like to try something new for 2018, to FEEL THE JOY? The following dates are open: January 17th & 18th, February 21st.
