3 HOLY SPIRIT SENIORS MSGR. McCORMICK NEEDS YOUR HELP In January, Msgr. McCormick will be joining his Jamaica Mission team on a week-long mission & is in need of a sponsor(s) to cover the costs of his trip. The total cost is $1, & is tax deductible. During the trip, they will be building at least 1 or 2 2-bedroom houses, doing necessary repairs & upgrades at Holy Spirit Church, the Community Center where they stay, as well as surrounding area schools, churches and homes. They will also help in the medical clinic & visit the Missionaries of Charity s home for the destitute and elderly. Time allowing, they will do some English & math tutoring with children & adults and visit with local people in the bush. There are still a few spots available on this mission team. You can join Msgr. McCormick for the experience of a lifetime! No special skills required, and all ages and skill levels are welcome. SECOND COLLECTION- JULY 14 & 15 Next week, we will take the Peter s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. 4 APRIL 21, 2018 FIRST HOLY COMMUNION VIDEOS ARE IN & CAN BE PURCHASED AND/OR PICK-UP IN THE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OFFICE. COST: $20 SAFE ENVIRONMENT RENEWAL AS OF JULY 1, 2018 ALL volunteers over 18, who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults, must complete the new Diocesan Mandated Safe Environment Training. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who serve only at Mass only are required to re-sign the Diocesan Code of Conduct. Extraordinary Ministers who visit Homebound or Assisted Living Facilities are required to complete the Safe & Sacred Online Training. If you are a volunteer in any ministry in the parish that does not involve minors or vulnerable adults, you are now required to sign the Diocesan Code of Conduct. If you are a volunteer in any capacity with minors or vulnerable adults, please make sure you have completed the Safe Environment requirements before you continue to volunteer, after the June 30th deadline. *FINGERPRINTING DOES NOT NEED TO BE REPEATED. There is no option to attend a presentation. All training has to be completed online.
