The mission of the Safe Environment office is to assist the Church in crea ng a safe haven for children, young people and vulnerable adults. The risk of child abuse is greatly reduced by breaking the silence about abuse, especially sexual abuse. Breaking the silence is a cri cal first step to begin the process of educa on, preven on and healing. The Diocesan office of Vic m s Assistance offers a variety of avenues for vic ms and family members to report their experiences to our Office of Vic m Assistance and to be welcomed, to receive pastoral care, and to learn about and access much -needed services. Diocesan staff serving in the Office of Vic m Assistance believe that individuals and communi es are best served through a prompt response to requests for help, respec ul listening, a en on to their needs, and services to help them in the healing process. If you, or someone you know would like to report or seek help with an allega on of sexual misconduct by clergy or diocesan employees, please contact the following. Office of Vic m s Assistance Fr.
