3 To all my sons and daughters in Christ! Let me take this moment to welcome to our parish Fr. Andrew Showers! You might remember that Fr. Andrew spent the last two summers with us and was tremendously helpful in making the Dedication of the new church so beautiful. Fr. Andrew was ordained a priest on Friday, June 30, and will spend the rest of this summer with us, helping with the Sacramental life of the parish and being a joyful presence among us be sure to welcome him and say hello! Also, please pray for me as, on Monday, I will be leaving to make my annual workshop. Every year I make a theological workshop, where I gather with other priests from around the country for some time to study theology at a deeper level and have some time to rest. I will be away from the parish from July Please pray for me and know I will pray for all of you and return ready for a tremendous rest of this summer! I love you all like Jesus! Fr. Joseph Jablonski, MSC, to our parish. He will make an appeal on behalf of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC), a religious society of more than 2,000 members active in 54 countries, most of them in developing countries. 4 PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF GOOD HELP Monday, August 14 Departing the Parish Center at 8:00 a.m. Returning at 6:00 p.m. We will celebrate Mass, pray the Rosary and learn the history at the very site of the only approved Marian Apparition in the United States. Cost is $30 per person. A class may be required prior to baptism. Sacrament of Matrimony - Arrangements must be made with the Parish Priest six (6) months prior to anticipated date of wedding. Care of the Sick - Communion will be brought to the homebound and the sick who are confined to their homes each week. For new additions to the Communion List, please call the Parish Office by Wednesday noon. Sacrament of the Sick - Will be administered to all of those seriously ill, those about to have major surgery, and any of the elderly of the Parish requesting it. Call the Parish Office to arrange. Parish Registration - New parishioners are welcome and are asked to register at the Parish Office, or download the form on our website to complete. Reconciliation - Confessions are heard every Saturday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., thirty minutes prior to each Mass on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Sunday. PARISH PILGRIMAGE PONTIFICAL HIGH MASS AUGUST 22 AT THE CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY MONONA, WI Fr. Eric & Fr. Andrew are leading a pilgrimage to Fr. Andrew s home parish in Monona. We will pray the Rosary before the shrine of the Immaculate Heart and then have dinner. After dinner, we will attend the Pontifical High Mass celebrated by Bishop Morlino, assisted by Fr.
