Next weekend we will take up a free will collection to support Kerala, India. Kerala is suffering its worst monsoon flooding in a century. One million people have been displaced and more than 400 have dies due to the monsoon. The money collected will be sent to the dioceses and religious communities in India. Thank you for your support. All Mass requests for the 8:30 Mass will be celebrated at 8 am. The Extra Ordinary Mass in Latin will be celebrated every Sunday at 9:30 am. All Mass requests scheduled for the 10 am Mass will be celebrated at the 9:30 Extra Ordinary Mass. The 7pm Mass on Saturday evening & 12 noon Mass on Sunday will not change. The Holy Name Society is offering religious Christmas Cards for sale at the upcoming Parish Flea Market on October 7. They will be on display after the Masses next week. Parish Community News & Events The Parish Right to Life Committee is organizing a Remembrance and Healing for Cancer for the month of October. We will once again present Our Blessed Mother with a floral bouquet in honor of cancer survivors or those who are receiving treatment and in memory of loved ones who lost their battle with cancer. There are marked envelopes available around the Church to make your donation of at least $5.00. Your donations, in the name of your loved one(s) will help fund the work of Helpers of God's Precious Infants, who assist expectant mothers and fathers to choose the gift of life, and the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, who care for individuals with incurable cancer. Rummage Sale Saturday, Oct. 13th,10am 3pm Sunday, October 14th,9am-2pm. Fall Cleaning? Donations are needed! Please donate items that are usable. No Tv s or electronics! Ms. Etienne is in the discernment process for the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles. She will be speaking to us about her path to religious life and The Laboure Society. To date, 157,525 has been collected. Remember, over 50% of the funds collected will be returned to the parish! Here at Saint Josaphat s we will receive $153,910 on our total raised of $307,820! I would like to give my genuine and heartfelt thanks to all the families and individuals that helped make the campaign a success. Please be sure to send your pledge payments.
