Marriages: Reserve and register date & time as soon as possible, at least six months in advance of the wedding. Pre-Cana and other instructional sessions are required for all couples. Padre Pio Mass and Procession Wednesday, May 20th :00 PM Mass The Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano will be the Celebrant and Homilist. There will be a Candle Light Procession through the streets immediately following the Mass. Please join us for this special and spiritual moment in the life of our parish. Altar Servers Fund -The parish council is sponsoring a free will offering after all Masses on Mother's Day weekend (May 9th and 10th) to provide a new cassock and surplice to each member of St. Josaphat s burgeoning Altar Server Society. MICHAELS CHURCH Dear Friends, Many thanks for your very generous contributions of checks and non- perishable foods to St. Michael's Emergence Food Pantry at Easter time. Your Lenten sacrifices, that made these donations possible, have helped our dedicated parish volunteers assist families, Seniors and the homeless. During these difficult economic times, many individuals and families struggle to obtain adequate food for themselves and their loved ones all year long. Many of our neighbors fast and abstain throughout the year, not as a religious practice, but because of poverty. Your generous response during Lent to the needs of dozens of families and individuals in Queens has helped to make a wonderful Easter celebration for many. St. Josaphat's Parish Community has truly enfleshed the Corporal Work of Mercy: feed the hungry. May Our Risen Lord continue to bless each of you and your parish community as you put your faith into action by practicing the works of mercy. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are very much appreciated by me, our volunteers and the hundreds of families we serve. Three seminarians from the Cathedral Seminary House of Formation in Douglaston, along with Brooklyn priest and seminary faculty member, Fr. Marc Swartvagher, and Rockville Centre's Vocation Director, Fr. Joe Fitzgerald, will begin the 1,400 mile pilgrimage in St. Augustine, FL on Sunday, May 17 and conclude in Rockville Centre on Sunday, June 14. There will be a special Mass for vocations and for our pilgrims in Brooklyn on Saturday, June 13 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph. All are invited to attend the 5:00 PM Mass in support of vocations.
