3 TIPTON Mary Barnum, DRE Grades K-8: No class on March 25 please join the parish for Coffee and Rolls after the 10 a.m. Mass! We will not meet on Easter Sunday, April 1 so our next gathering is at 9 a.m. April 8! We will also meet April 15 and 29. The 29 th will be our last Sunday gathering until the fall and it will be special! Class at 9, Mass together at 10, refreshments and preview of VBS immediately following Mass! First Communion: May 6, 10 a.m. Mass Confirmation Class of 2018: Plan to participate in the Triduum. Then we will meet Wednesdays at 7 p.m. April 4, 11, 18. Reconciliation and Pizza Party: May 2, 6:30 p.m. Confirmation: May 23, 7 p.m. Juniors and Seniors in High School: Please contact Mary, Lauren Doughty, or a Catholic high school junior for text notifications. Adult: 9 a.m. Sundays in the religious education office. Lent: Bring your Rice Bowls for almsgiving to the Holy Thursday Mass March 29 at 6:30. Please bring bells to ring during the Gloria at 6:30 p.m. Mass March 29, Holy Thursday. Good Friday in Tipton at 6:30 p.m. Friday March 30. The Easter Vigil begins at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, March 31, with fire and the preparation of the Easter Candle and procession with lighted candles. This is a powerful and beautiful night and everyone should experience it sometime in their lifetime. Even the children get to carry a candle if they are allowed to do so by their parents; the Light of Christ is a comfort and blessing for our entire lives. At this Mass, you will hear Jamie Meyer s voice chant the Exultet and feel the connection of the thousands of other Roman Catholics hearing this in Catholic churches throughout the world. The Water for the baptismal font will be blessed and you will renew your baptismal promises and be sprinkled anew this night. The celebration of the Eucharist and a return to joyful music makes this night inspiring and memorable. SAVE THE DATE: St Mary's Annual Auction is set for Sunday, April 15. Lunch at 11:30 and Auction to start at 12:00! Knights of Columbus: Thanks for your support! The Knights of Columbus would like to thank all of you who attended and/or helped with our annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 16. We served about 250 people! We were grateful for our CCD students who helped serve; those who made desserts; our members who came to help serve, cooked and cleaned up to the very end! The good weather was a gift as well! Our first donation of $350 will go toward a new refrigerator for the church kitchen.
