You could cast it in your sleep, its familiar arc embedded in your muscle memory after months years a lifetime of gathering in what you thought would sustain you forever. You would not have imagined it would be so easy to cast aside, would never have believed the immediacy with which your hands could release their familiar grip, could let it go, could let it simply continue its arcing path away from you. But when the call came you did not hesitate, did not pause, did not delay to follow, as if your body had suddenly remembered the final curve of the arc, as if the release begun in your hands now passed through you entirely and you let go of everything to cast yourself with abandon upon the waiting world.

CABARET 2018: January 27, 7 pm: This year s Cabaret theme is Binkley Goes Back to the Prom so get out your dancing shoes, order your date some flowers, and get ready to have fun. You are invited to let the Music Ministry know about your favorite prom memories and songs. Cabaret is Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. All proceeds go to support annual Music Ministry initiatives including the Children s Choir Workshop Weekend, Youth Choir participation in Festival By the Sea, and the Chancel Choir retreat. ACOLYTE MINISTRY: The church is renewing its acolyte ministry this year, with a focus on training 3rd through 6th graders. Acolyting involves lighting candles, carrying banners, helping with Sanctuary setup, and more. Josh McIntyre, the instructor, grew up as an acolyte in his home church, and Josh brings enthusiasm and know-how to guiding others. Participants would learn more about traditions of the church and have the opportunity to play an active role in 11:00 am Worship. When the training concludes on March 18, participants would then sign up to lead as an acolyte in Worship beginning Palm Sunday, March 25, with alternating schedules through May 20.
