People: And so the names multiply Immanuel, Counselor, Bright Morning Star, Lord of Lords, Shepherd, Gate, Bread of Life, Maker, Defender, Redeemer, Friend. Leader: But, you persist to question us through the haze of our many answers. People: You look at us with your care-worn eyes, and you ask us, each one. Who do YOU say that I am? Leader: We may retreat to the safety of silence, letting the question linger. We might turn to the rabbis and debate the meaning of the question, without ever answering the question itself. People: You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. This is Peter s answer, naming and claiming Jesus boldly. Leader: The Psalmist declares that the Lord is on our side. Verdi We are grateful for today's worship leaders. Ken and Peg Williams moved to Durham in January from Rochester, NY. Ken has been a pastor and regional denominational executive over 37 years. He has had an avocation in emergency services chaplaincy and administration. Peg s pastoral service spans 20 years; she holds certification as an Intentional interim minister. Peg has a blog on HuffingtonPost.com. Ken and Peg prefer to say that they are in life redesign rather than retirement. Together they have four children and four, eight, or twelve grandchildren, depending on how you count them.
