It s by the beneft of letters that absent frends are brought together. Be frends wth a man's goodness, and not wth hs weahh. A man's frends belong to hm not a wht more than he belongs to them. Those who are not our frends need not be our enemes. The fewer frends one has, the more one feels the value of frendshp. Do not pass by a place where there s a frend. Frendshp draws men together; self n terest separates them. When the character of a man s not clear to you, look at hs frends. For the frendshp of two, the patence of one s necessary! Better lose a lttle money than a lttle frendshp. No company s preferable to bad; we are more apt to catch the v,ces than the vrtues of others. Dseases are far more contagous than health.
