Pgge, pncpal of Mana School, whch asked to sceen the doos a n d wndows of the teaches cotage thee, and also the veandah, Coutuued ol page 4, OF 0 OU SCHOO LS Last week, we agan expeenced the pleasue of vstng a numbe of ou publc schools, ncludng Hanale. Klauea and Anahola. n Hanale we wee geeted wth delght by moe than a hunded boys and gls, most of whom we had numbeed n ou class wok some thee yeas ago, and needless to say that we wee equally delghted to meet ou boys and gls o.ee moe. And such neat chlden they wee. And how they dd wok. The smalle tots ae pesded ove by Ms. Ah, whom we found ntensely occuped n wtten wok, the lttle ones dong the ltmost to be neat and occuate. The calenda wok was especally pleasng and well done. Mssa Floence Devenll h n s chage of the utemmcdttc gade. and a nce, neate, and moe well- - behaved lot of chlden would be lfcult to fnd. The wok was excellent and n esponse to ou equest fo a song, they endeed a selecton whch was not only n tself vey petty ndeed, but the manne n whch t was delveed was desevng of hghest pase. e next pad ou espects to the hghe gades. Ms. Newmann, the pncpal of the school, was n chage of these gades and on enteng we wee geeted wth a chous of "Good Monngs" fom ou fome pupls. t was ndeed a happy moment to us and unconscously we found ouselves nspectng papes and askng a thousand and one questons. The wok n ths oom, notwthstandng that thee wee seveal gades, was excellent. Not a blot was found on the extemely neat papes, the chlden wee odely, and most polte. Knowng the eputaton that the Hanale chlden have fo sngng, we could not esst anothe equest fo. a song, whch was fothcomng wth undsgused pleasue. We gave "ou" boys and gls a lttle talk afte whch we took ou depatue fo Klauea whee we aved shotly befoe the close of school. Hee, agan, we met nealy two hunded of "ou" fome chlden who delghted us wth an enthusastc geetng. The hou was gowng late, and we wee soy to not be able to spend some tme wth the vaous teaches of ths school. We dd, howeve manage to take a look n on each, and to have a pleasant wod o two wth the chlden. Ou tme n ths school was mostly confnd to the ffth and sxth gades whch ae pesded ove by Ms. Chambelan, who s pncpal of the school. Much of ou tme was devoted to a talk to ou" fome pupls, but enough obsevatons w&e made, howeve, to lean that good wok s n pogess. Both gades des ed to ead fo us, whch equest was cheefully ganted, and we have no hestancy n sayng that the eadng was equal t that of many 7th. and 8th. gade pupls whom we have head. We wee pleased wth the pnv.efsveness among the chlde. They ae tuly a nce lot of.u.ls and boys ove whom a teache would feel justly po-f- to pesde.
