enacted n 899, some o f our readers wll say we are but the law worked out so successfully that, n consderng local control of schools, our mnd there can be no quesn as the adaptablty of such a plan f ths plan should be used as a bass upon whch establsh local control of schools, t would gve us the followng offces: ( ) A local board of offcals of three men, w t h the ttle of "County Commssoners," whose dutes would be the transacn of all busness pertanng school matters, ncludng the appontng and dsmssng o f teachers, the appontment of a county superntendent and the arrangng wth the Board of Supervsors for buldngs, etc Ths Board be apponted by the governor for a term n not less than four years (2) A county superntendent, whose dutes would le smlar those of the present supervsng prncpal, and who would be an member of the local board of commssoners He have the power employ or dscharge, always, however, wth tl)c approval of the commssoners (3) A Board of Terrral Commssoners be composed ofth e charman of each County Board of Commssoners and the Superntendent of Publc nstrucn, the latter be an member, and charman ot ths Terrral Board Ths board would meet n as often as necessary when
