Remember to wear sun screen while you re outside doing your yard work or just enjoying the sun. We re still looking for Sir Knights to step up and fill the required officer positions for the Assembly. We are currently behind schedule for getting the ballot of officers out to the members due to not being able to fill the positions. If we are unable to fill the required positions (Navigator, Captain, Pilot, Comptroller, and Purser) then there is a very good possibility that we will have to suspend our operations and merge with another Assembly. I truly believe that this is not what we want to do. I encourage each of you to think hard about stepping up and filling a position. Adult price also includes a Mimosa. 9 11:30 AM every third Sunday. Hope to see you there. FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL Will be held on May 11 th. We ll be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, & sides along with a 50/50 drawing with all profits going to KOVAR. We need a couple of Brothers to help with this dinner. Contact PGK John Escuadra at if you can help. KNIGHTS UNITED AT MASS Will be held at Sacred Heart on May 13 th at 8:00 AM. FORMATION (2 ND ) DEGREE Will be held at 7:30 PM on May 16 th. Candidates please arrive at 7 PM. TIDES BASEBALL Once again, we will be operating the Craft Beer Pub at Harbor Park for the 2018 season for your Norfolk Tides. We will work approximately 36 games again this season and will need a crew of between six and eight people per game to man the beer stand and beer portable on the concourse. You must be 18 years old and everyone is required to wear black or khaki trousers or shorts and a ball cap, preferably a Knights of Columbus ball cap. Open to all Brothers, families, & friends. SPX CARNIVAL The Council will be selling beers & snacks to raise money for the Paul Stephan Foundation which is a Pro-Life support for women in crisis pregnancies. Bloody Mary s, Mimosa, & soda available at bar price every third Sunday. COMING UP AT COUNCIL May 8: Business Meeting 6:30 PM Jun 12: 2500 Almeda Ave., Suite 111 Jul 10: Norfolk, VA BLESSING BAGS In May, we will be creating Blessing Bags containing bottle of water, snacks, a prayer card, and a list of local resources to hand out to the homeless in our area. SENIOR BINGO OUTREACH We are currently pursuing reaching out to the elderly by hosting a Bingo night at a local nursing home. Everyone would play for free and we will try and make this a family event to bring youth to the homes. We re interested in borrowing a Bingo machine from a fellow council if any are available. 1 ST (ADM) DEGREE Welcome Nathaniel White as he joined us at our weekend Council retreat by using the video. We are interested in forming our own 1 st Degree Team and would love to speak to another degree team rep to help us get the ball rolling. Contact SK Daniel Evans (540) for more information.
