I hope everyone has a happy holiday, good health and safe traveling. We had a very good concert with Ed Slater on Dec. 6. He is quite the entertainer and has met or knows many of the big names in the singing industry. The Head Start program at the local developmental school was so very appreciative of our gifts. They were very happy to also have some toys. The children made a darling wreath out of tissue paper to thank us. We will display it in the dining room in January. The principal gave Eileen and Carolyn a tour of the classes and every room greeted them in unison saying Hello. The children were extremely well-behaved and it was very impressive. Thank you Eileen and Carolyn and members who contributed gifts. Our Past President s Tea was lovely. Thank you Terry for a great job again. Welcome to our new members who were inducted on Dec 10. See page 4 for their photo and first names. We have a new no last names policy to protect everyone s privacy so those won t be listed. Any member who would like their contact information can a request to From the President bwc1909@gmail.com or call Maria. We have a busy January and February so please put everything on your calendars. Jan Trip to Benzaiten glass blowing museum and workshop. See flyer inside this issue. If I can do that, then anyone can. Also silk flower arrangements are easy to do...so GO FOT IT. Feb Second concert of series. Feb Copacabana Gala. The Save the Date cards went out in December and invitations were mailed after the Dec. 30 mailing party. If you are seeing this newsletter before that date and would like to help, just come to the club that morning. There is no writing involved just pasting of labels and stamps. Call Stephanie if you are interested. We have already received reservations so get your tables together. We hope to have more people than last year. Stephanie and Rosemarie have been working hard creating our new data base and selling corporate memberships and sponsorships. Please contact any business you frequent and ask them to support our building restoration. Stephanie has packets for information and handouts to help you. We need more silent auction items!!
