2 A message from your State Madam President Happy New Year Sisters! I am so looking forward to this New Year and wishing you all the very best. December started at the MEFRC Christmas party, a blast until I got a pie in the face. I couldn't make Durand because I was ill, and I'm sorry to have missed it. Hazel Park threw a Christmas sing-a-long, so much fun and they raised over $800 for the U of M Depression Center. Thank you all for your kindness, love and generosity! Coming up, and you are welcome to attend: Jan 21 st Lincoln Park Wild Child Fundraiser Theme is the 80's Dinner & Raffle; Jan 28 th Taylor #3138 State President's Charity Fundraise 4 pm till 10pm. Hope you can make it! If anyone would want to help me raise money for my charity, I now have an Authentic Gordie Howe autographed hockey puck in a display with certification. We are taking a deck of cards, letting a person pick a card, tear it in half, sign their name & phone number. $5.00 per chance or $20.00 for 5 cards. Drawing will be at the talent show at convention. 3 Auxiliary Secretaries, Be advised the lists below are Auxiliaries that are not in COMPLIANCE! We have a lot of auxiliaries that have not filed their 990 with the Grand Aerie. I will inform you all that things have changed with the IRS. You have to set up an account with the IRS do the 990N card send, then print a copy. Send the copy to the Grand Aerie. Get this done as soon as possible. Deadline on filing the 990 with the IRS was October 15 th. Go into that file and print all your sheets. Do not print from the front of the MMS. When you print the State Per Capita Taxes, write the check out to MICHIGAN STATE AUXILIARY F.O.E. Letters were sent from the Grand Aerie. Your auxiliary is in violation if you have changed your By-laws without the Grand Aerie s approval. A lot of letters are being ignored by your auxiliaries. If anyone needs my help, please give me a call. Continued

4 The Grand Aerie is notifying each Auxiliary that needs to re-file a new Affiliation Agreement. If your last Affiliation Agreement was filed in 2012, you need to send in a new one. To get this form go into the MMS Admin under Affiliation Agr-Aux. Print the form, get it signed and send it into the Grand Aerie. Filling the 990, we have (34) Auxiliaries that have not filed the 990 with the Grand Aerie for 5/31/2016. We also have (4) Auxiliaries that have lost their Non-Profit. If anyone needs any help, please give me a call. The State Auxiliary is here to help you. Congrats to all the Auxiliaries that have initiated 100% or more of their quota so far this year. We are at 49% of Linda s goal for new initiates against quota that s ok but last year we were at 62% at this time. We had 234 new and re-enroll applicants this month so let s get them initiated!! ALSO, there are 71 Active Membership Leads on MMS for Michigan! These are potential members so secretaries please follow up on these leads!! Membership Chair, Kathie MEFRC MEMBERSHIP DUES EXPIRED AUGUST 31, 2016 There are still expenses and income is limited so we ask that you support the MEFRC by continuing to pay your dues and sign up new members. Gardenia Ave., Madison Hts., MI PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: MEFRC This is the easiest and most inexpensive way to support the MEFRC. Please continue your support and renew or join as a new member. Again, I have had very few recipes sent to me so far to put in the cookbook I m putting together for State Madam President Linda s charity this year. Please forward them to me via so we can have a really nice Mighty Michigan Cookbook. You can send in appetizers, main courses, side dishes, salads, desserts, or drinks so let s try to make it a big success!! Be sure to send your recipes to me as soon as possible to make sure they get included. I will be selling them at our next State Convention so be sure to find me to get yours before they are all gone! Shuffleboard, pool tournament, and cornhole tournament. Raffles, food and entertainment by Brian Bossman from 7-11 p.m. Shuffleboard and pool to begin about 1:00 p.m., and cornhole at 3 p.m. I will update if anything changes. Hope to see every there!
