4 Kitchen Korner Hi to all of our great friends in the Emmaus & Chrylsalis Communities. Hey do you believe the Men s Walks # 43 is just 3 weeks away? Geniece & I are busy planning all the great meals & snacks that we will be feeding the pilgrims & the team. There are lots of you that have called or ed us to let us know you will be helping us in the kitchen that 1 st weekend in October but we need more of you on every day. We need some help on Thursday night for the team meal & Friday, give us a call at or us at billperkins1951@yahoo.com. We will see you all soon. AGAPE Now that there will be a Men s Walk #43. We need to really start praying for the team and the pilgrims. Speaking of praying there are a lot of time slots still available for both the men s and women s walks. The clock is ticking people and we need get the 72 hour prayer vigils. As of right now there are 48 slots on the men s and 53 on the women s. Don t forget agape for the walks. We want the walk to be memorable for the pilgrims. If you have finished placemats or napkins you can get them to us by sending them to a board meeting with one of the reps or bring them to send off. Community Lay Director Minute Where are you being called to serve?? The fall walks are very quickly coming upon us, and there are many spots to step up and serve.

A few of those options are with the week-end support team, the kitchen as well as each of the community events.

6 Community Lay Director Minute Where are you being called to serve?? The fall walks are very quickly coming upon us, and there are many spots to step up and serve. We encourage all who want to bring blessings to the pilgrims and team by serving outside of the conference room. A few of those options are with the week-end support team, the kitchen as well as each of the community events. Do you remember your Walk and all the different forms of Agape love that you may have experienced? It is now our time to shower the pilgrims & team with signs of God s love. Here are a few spots that are looking for each of us to step up. We can contact Rich & Nancy Preston and fill a slot in the 72 hour prayer vigil. As well as make special Agape gifts for the pilgrims & team. The kitchen is currently looking for helpers, contact the Perkin s if you can volunteer some time. All help is appreciated, you can serve for one meal, or several. The week-end support team can use help from set-up on Thursday, till the final clean up on Sunday. Your help will be greatly appreciated at any time during the walk. Many hands make each of the tasks go so much smoother. Do you recall your walk candle light & closing service? Let s all be at Christ United Methodist Church for the pilgrims of Walk # 43. Let your light shine during the Saturday evening candle light service. Finally, hearing the words of testimony Sunday afternoon is always a special time. Please read the Rainbow connection for the exact time for each activity, and contact phone numbers to step up & serve. Please pray about where you can serve walk #43. We are looking forward to seeing you in Olean. DeColores, Jim & Lora Chrysalis Message from Flight 15 Lay Directors Dear Emmaus and Chrysalis Community members, It is with great excitement that Erich and I start our teamings for Flight 15 happening in January and February of We are praying and believing God for a full flight of caterpillars which is 30 kids. But we know that God expects us to do our part too and that is where you all come in. It is not too soon to be soliciting youth to sponsor especially with their crazy schedules! Let s get them on our and God s schedule. If you would like to schedule someone to come and do a presentation to your Youth Group or on an individual basis our Evangelism Team would be happy to help you. 10 * = change since last month CHRYSALIS STEERING COMMITTEE Calling all Songbooks, Calling all Songbooks Though I agree everyone needs their own personal copy of DeColores, our supply of community Songbooks is becoming critically low and we are trying to avoid publishing more. So, I kindly ask that you open those dusty Agape Bags and Weekend Folders and see if one may have accidently gone home with you. As an added bonus you can reminisce about the weekend and how it felt to be bathed in Gods loving presence. Not a bad Bonus in my book. If you re fortunate enough to find a songbook, of course, after memorizing the verses of DeColores, please take it to your Local Gathering so they may be collected and returned to me or other board members. With the Fall Walks comes the Fall Musician s Workshops. We are planning two workshops. The first will be Nov 10th prior to Women s Candlelight and the second will be Nov. 17th prior to the Reunion. The location is yet to be determined, so please look to the October issue of Rainbow Connection for final details.
