Annual Emmaus/Chrysalis Community Picnic THIS Saturday July 18 12N - 3 PM Hosted by Springville Gathering at Springville UMC Springville will provide burgers and dogs, a shelter and access to the hall if the weather doesn t cooperate. Bring your nametag, a dish to pass, table settings, outdoor chairs, your singing voices and musical instruments if you wish to share, and join us for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. See you there! Directions to Springville UMC: From most areas, take I-90 or I-86 to US 219, exit Rt 39 E, to Springville. Continue through the village, church is on the left side of Rt 39, just pas hospital. If you get to Rt 240, you ve gone too far. From points east, take Rt 39 to Springville, church is on right, about ½ mile past Rt 240. Boys Chrysalis Flight #17 August 8 10 Boys Chrysalis Flight #17. The deadline for Registration is: THIS COMING Thursday July 23. So, please get any Registrations to Vickie & Eric Jones by that date. Their address is: 2493 Lake Road, Hilton, NY Send-off for the Boys Flight will be Saturday August 8th, at 8:00AM. The Community Candlelight Service, will be at 8:00 PM on Sunday night, August 9. Please arrive at Camp Asbury by 7:00 PM. There will be signs to direct you to a gathering spot. The Closing Program will take place on Monday, August 10, at 3:30 pm. There will be babysitting at closing for anyone with small children. Contact Erich & Vicki Jones OR Barb Swanson for registration forms (full contact information on page 7. Directions to Camp Asbury: Please consider coming to Big House and joining in the fun we will be having. I foresee a lot of fun and a lot of work being accomplished. You do not have to commit to the whole weekend. If you can only come for a couple hours, we would love to have you too. We will have a camp fire weather permitting, making agape for upcoming flights, singing, going on a nature scavenger hunt, enjoying God's creation on the deck on the lake, having bible studies, and watching our friendships grow. You will also have an opportunity to fish in Silver Lake. Please let me know no later than Monday, July 26th if you are coming to Big House. It does cost to stay at Big House. Barb Swanson CHRYSALIS IS LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN AND WOMEN IT is that time of year when we start looking to recruit folks to our board positions. The following positions are open this year Community, Evangelism, Music, Registration and one. You don t have to have experience we will support and train you. We would like to have the board positions filled by November so there can be a smooth transition. The kids are depending on us to continue helping them to experience the wonderful weekend we all had in Emmaus, Crucile, Foot Steps Koiniea etc. They are our future. Please prayerfully consider joining us! If you are interested in any of these positions please call Cherie Trabert at DeColores and Fly with Christ Cherie Girls Flight 17 It was with great sadness that we had to cancel Girls Flight 17 due to the lack of girls registered. We do not want this to happen to the Boys Flight. The registration deadline is looming (July 23). Please consider sponsoring a young man between the ages of Remember how wonderful your walk/flight was. Lets give some youth the same chance to experience God through this amazing weekend retreat. The Youth are our future! DeColores and Fly with Christ Cherie AGAPE... AGAPE...AGAPE Yes, it is that time again to get ready for the Fall Walks. We are looking for placemats, napkins, and other fun agape to share with the Pilgrims. There is also plenty of room on both prayer vigils. The link to sign up online is Vigil/GetVigil.phtml?pvid=1029. The agape chairs will also be visiting each gathering, bringing the vigil along with napkins and placemats.
