1 Hello Cristo Community!! We have made it!! Woohoo!! This has been an adventure, but what an Awesome God we have!! Our scripture for this weekend is Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding," and that is exactly what this team has done! What a wonderful group of ladies the Lord has prepared for this weekend. I have been blessed and humbled along this journey by these ladies, including all of those who have contributed with this team at any part this last year. Thank you to all community who will be out to help aide in this weekend, we couldn't do it without your help. I love all of you, my Cristo family, but God loves you more!!! Your humble Rectora, Jessica Hasto I N D I A N R I V E R V I A D E C R I S T O To Inspire and equip leaders to serve and share God s love and purpose for all Fall Women s Weekend R e ctora s Corner Once again, we are looking forward to a blessed weekend that will glorify our Lord. The team is ready and the candidates are probably anticipating. We look forward to seeing many of our brothers and sisters in Christ coming out to help with set up, tear down, serenade, security, serving meals, chop shop, and chapel. If you have the time, we ve got the blessings! The schedule at the end of the newsletter has more detailed information on how you can help. This is our time to come together to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus for these ladies. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV). Sponsors, please invite your candidates families to attend the send off and the closing ceremonies. It can be a great comfort to the candidates, and a blessing and inspiration for the family members. After the weekend let s welcome our new pilgrims with the love that God has given us to share. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:35 (NIV). 2 K i t c hen Coordinator Every day God calls us to serve. One of those ways is to assist behind the scenes at a Cristo Weekend. Please refer to our online planner to see if there are any items that God calls you for. Many hands make light work - please consider giving of your time and/or talents and let us know, if possible, the ways in which you can serve. Remember how awesome your weekend was and come to see the many ways God and the people that serve Him make each weekend as awesome as yours. A group meal will be created before each weekend using the online planner PerfectPotluck.com and you're invited to participate! Please sign up to indicate your availability to provide supplemental food/ snack items for the weekend and/or service in the kitchen. 3 Set-Up Please come and give a couple of hours of service to Christ and His team on Wednesday evening. Come to the Site on Wed, October 10 th at 5:00 pm to Set-Up for the Women's weekend. Note: The Beach House will not be available to setup for the candidate sleeping area until after 8:30 pm. Community support will be needed until completion of this area. Tear-Down This important job needs you! Starting at 6:30am and again at 1pm on Sunday, October 14 th we must carefully return the site to its original configuration. Serve-A-Meal Plan to serve one or more meals during the weekend. The Meal schedule (to be placed on your refrigerator) is attached. Be at the site about 30-minutes before meal time. Thanks. Chop-Shop Come join the fun with the kitchen staff by prepping meals for the candidates. This is a great time doing a great service. We laugh making meatballs and cry chopping onions. DON T miss out!!! Send-Off Women s Weekend #68, Thurs, October 11 th, bring your Candidates to Send-Off at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, 5550 Faith Dr, Rockledge, FL. Be there by 7:00pm or earlier to enjoy some great fellowship. (see map on page 2) Sponsors, please arrive with your Candidates and their luggage before 7pm. Please remind them that they will not need their watch, cell-phone or other electronic devices on the weekend. God has it all under control! Take some time to take your Candidate out for dinner or insure they eat prior to Send-Off, since no meal is served on Thursday evening. Chapel Visits Prayer is a vital dynamic for the weekend. We expect many of you will come and pray in the Chapel for the Rollistas and the Candidates on the weekend. Please arrive 20-minutes before the Rollo is scheduled. With prayer, the Lord will "tip the bowls". (Rev. 5:8) Serenade Men, please add your voice to the other angels who serenate Candidates and Team on Saturday night, October 13 th. Practice starts at 6 pm, Serenade around 7 pm, and Dinner is served immediately after and everyone (that includes you) is blessed. Childcare is provided. Closing Remember when YOU went to your Closing? How you felt when you entered the Sanctuary and saw the IRC Community singing in celebration of the joy of your weekend? And then to hear each heartfelt testimony? WOW! What a Close Moment! Please be in the Sanctuary by 4:30 pm Sunday, October 14th, as Candidates and Team will be there at 4:45 pm. With our streamlined Closing service, you should be done and on your way by about 6:30 pm. 3

Serenade: Saturday, October 13 th at 6:00 pm ALL MEN NEEDED!!! Practice begins in the sanctuary at 6:00 pm with the serenade at 7:00 pm. (Child Care is Provided) Tear-Down: Sunday, October 14 th at 6:30 am and also at 1:00 pm until done. Closing: Sunday, October 14 th at 4:45 pm in the sanctuary at Trinity Wellsprings Church. For All activities please arrive minutes early to ensure you are prepared to participate.
