Tuesdays at 1:30 PM - St. Faustina Ladies Prayer Group meets to pray the Miraculous Medal Novena, the Liturgy of the Hours and the Rosary, Stations of the Cross or a Chaplet. We offer the prayers for family, friends or anyone who is in need of prayer. Please let us know if there is a special person that you would like us to add to our prayer basket. All ladies of the parish are welcome to join us even if you can't come every week. 4 Moosehead Community Chorus -It is THAT time! maestro George has announced that he will start rehearsing for the annual Moosehead Community Chorus Christmas Concert on Sunday, October 4, at 3:00 - Union Church. He is looking at performances on Saturday, Dec. 12 (Monson) and Sunday, Dec. 13th (Greenville). He has chosen songs to represent Christmas Around the World. We hope you can & will join in. (practice time and concert dates may be adjusted, if necessary) Public Rosary-will be lead by Charlie Baker in the parking lot across from the Greenville High School at noon on Saturday October 10, 2015 as part of the International event to celebrate the anniversary of the miracle of the sun that took place in Fatima on October 13, 1917, America needs Fatima. Join us and over 2-dozen churches in Maine and over 12,000 across the United States who will participate in the 2015 campaign. The Rosary will be to honor the 6 apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, the Miracle of the Sun. The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared 6 times to 3 Shepherd children: Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta: between May 13 and October 13, 1917 near the village of Fatima, Portugal. We honor our Lady and our Lord at that time. The Blessed Mother urged everyone to pray the Rosary during her apparitions at Fatima, Portugal. She called herself the Lady of the Rosary, and promised that the Rosary would help people grow in their faith, convert sinners and bring about world peace. Everyone is welcome to join us. 5 Engaging Parents: Forming Family Faith Workshop in Portland on November 12 A workshop which will offer ways for parish communities to engage parents and help families to grow in faith together, will be held at the Chancery offices in Portland on Thursday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Videoconferencing will also be available in Caribou and Brewer. The workshop will be presented by the Center for Ministry Development. In July, Pope Francis proclaimed, "How precious is the family as the privileged place for transmitting the faith!" Won't you join us to learn how you as a parish leader can help parents transmit faith to their children while deepening their own relationship with God? This workshop will give you a better understanding of today's parents and strategies for reaching out to this new breed of parents. It will offer ways to support them in deepening their own faith at home and in the parish, and through service and outreach together.
