Thank you! Weekly suggestions for the faithful to consider December 3: Set up an Advent wreath in your home and use it to reflect on the spiritual meaning of the season. You ll find a Blessing for an Advent wreath here: December 10: Give a gift to someone outside your family circle. Volunteer your time. Bake something for a neighbor. Pick up a tag from your parish s giving tree. December 17: If you have children, create a Jesse Tree with them. Ornaments on the tree tell the story of God in the Old Testament and connect it with the coming of Christ. December 24: Make sure the gift of the Savior is at the center of your Christmas celebration. Say a prayer of thanksgiving as you place the Baby Jesus in the manger. Joyfully participate in Christmas Mass. December 31: On the Octave of Christmas, we celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God. As we begin a new calendar year, pray and reflect on how to better follow the example of the Blessed Mother in saying yes to God.
