2 From Father Kevin s Desk As we celebrate the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, we reflect together on the central mystery of our faith - the Holy Eucharist. Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2015! As you reflect on the past with gratitude, may your dreams and hopes for your future be aided by the grace of God and the prayerful support of our parish communities. With our heartfelt best wishes and congratulations on your achievements! Special word of thanks to all who have assisted thus far in helping us prepare for our Upcoming Huge Yard Sale at Holy Family Church! We will have the Yard Sale on Saturday, June 13th. If you have any gently used items for sale, please bring them to the church hall this coming week. Thank you to all who attended our Holy Family Parish Listening Sessions this past weekend. As we look at our past, present and future, we thank you for your support and your prayers. Parish leaders and I will be meeting soon to discern the course of action for our future and will keep you informed. Kevin Silver & Gold Mass at Holy Family Church in Lewiston (June 27) - Bishop Deeley will celebrate the Silver & Gold Mass at Holy Family Church on 607 Sabattus Street in Lewiston on Sat., June 27, at 4 PM The Mass, held to celebrate milestone anniversaries (e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, etc.) in 2015, is a testimony to the goodness of marriage and the blessings it can bring, thanking God for graces given and asking for the continuing gift of grace to persevere in the commitments that have been made. Weekend Pilgrimage to Pope Francis Visit at the World Meeting of Families - Departing from Portland on Friday, September 25, and returning Monday, September 28. You can reach me at or via bette.diangelo@portlanddiocese.org. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 2pm in the Chapel- Holy Family Ladies Guild Meeting- At each meeting the rosary is said for the conversion of our country and for our church. Some of our activities include sending cards to our shutins and working on fund raisers for the parish. Please call Bette or Joyce for more information. Tuesdays at 1:30 PM - St. Faustina Ladies Prayer Group meets to pray the Miraculous Medal Novena, the Liturgy of the Hours and the Rosary, Stations of the Cross or a Chaplet. We offer the prayers for family, friends or anyone who is in need of prayer. Please let us know if there is a special person that you would like us to add to our prayer basket. All ladies of the parish are welcome to join us even if you can't come every week. Special Collection for Earthquake Relief in Nepal on Weekend of June Bishop has authorized a special collection at all of Maine s Catholic churches on the weekend of June to provide aid and recovery support to the people impacted by the destructive earthquakes that shook Nepal in recent weeks. The proceeds of the special collection will support Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as they address relief and recovery efforts. Materials for shelter, water purification, and hygiene kits will be needed for months to come. In advance of the special collection on June 13-14, to donate consider the following: 1.
