September 24: If your schedule permits, consider volunteering for Catholic Charities SEARCH program or another program which serves the elderly by helping with grocery shopping, rides, etc. Often, only a few hours a week is needed. If you can t make a regular commitment, help your parents, grandparents, or a neighbor with a task or chore, such as raking leaves.

Knights of Columbus Jackman Council 2392 Monthly meetings are held the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the St Faustina Church Hall. The Rene Morin Senior Luncheon will be held the 3rd Wednesday each month at 11:30am in St Faustina Church Hall The Gifting of the Holy Spirit Saturday, October 7th at the Ski-Hy Conference and Renewal Center, 32 Sky-Hy Drive, Topsham, ME. This conference will be a hands on experience to receive inspiration, prayer and practice with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 7:30-8:30am is registration and from 8:30am-2:30pm there will be worship, talks by Deacon Al Burleigh, a prayer workshop, discussion time and lunch. At 2:30pm there will be a healing service led by Father Richard Rice ad Deacon Al Burleigh. Mass will follow the healing service. Cost is $10 for lunch. Catholic Extension, founded in 1905, raises money to build churches and the Church in America s poorest places. This year Holy Family applied for and received a $50,000 Challenge Grant for our new Church. Only one in five applications received funding. To qualify we need to raise $150,000 in new cash gifts before December 31, If you have already given, would you consider another donation to help us meet this challenge? The 11th annual Harvest Ball, hosted by Bishop Robert P. Deeley will be held Friday, October 20, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. Proceeds from the ball support Harvest, the official magazine of the diocese, which is sent to more than 40,000 Maine households. In addition to a social hour and dinner, the ball also includes a silent auction and the music of the Carmine Terracciano Band. Tickets are $55 per person and $50 per person for groups of 8 or more. 5 Another school year and another year of Faith Formation is upon us. St. Anthony will have classes Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30am, please call Connie to register at We are in need of a 3rd grade teacher if you are interested, call Connie for more information. Holy Family classes for students in K through 8th will be starting this fall, please call to register. Holy Family Middle/High School Group will continue to meet on Sunday evenings in the Rectory from 6-7:30PM. If you are registered from last year, we are assuming you will be continuing this season also.
