4 The Joy of Siblings JOY IN ACTION Weekly suggestions for the faithful to consider: July 29: Support our brothers and sisters around the world through prayer and by giving to generously to Peter s Pence collection, which helps Pope Francis support those who are suffering as a result of war, oppression or natural disasters. Bishop Robert Deeley invites to you to join him October 19, 2018, for the 12th annual Harvest Ball, a celebration of our Catholic community in Maine and a fundraiser for Harvest magazine. The ball begins at 6 p.m. with social time and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m., followed by dessert and coffee. Throughout the evening, enjoy the music of The Carmine Band. The ball also features a silent auction, which will include gift certificates, artwork, gift baskets, items from your favorite sports teams, and much more. Tickets are $60 per person, $440 for a table of eight, $495 for a table of nine, or $550 for a table of ten. Dinner begins with a salad of arugula, roasted pear, pomegranate seeds, spiced pecans, and artisan bleu cheese crumbles, with maple vinaigrette. Main course options are pepper-crusted beef filet with herb-roasted tricolor fingerling potatoes & a roasted fall vegetable medley finished with cognac cream or Cranberry glazed grilled airline chicken breast with mashed sweet potatoes, & lemon broccolini or Butternut squash ravioli with herb veloute, drizzled with balsamic reduction. Our dessert is a raspberry mousse tower.
