Each Adult Sunday School Class, the Children s Fellowship, our Youth Group, and the Young Adult Small Group will share in this church-wide study during the Season of Lent. 3 Living Word Drama Team Offers Mission Scholarships Our Living Word Drama group is offering scholarships for members of Warwick Memorial or for persons who attend Warwick Memorial regularly. These scholarships are to assist persons in paying the cost to participate in church approved or other humanitarian mission projects. To apply for a scholarship submit a typed paper of not more than one page that describes the name, purpose and cost of the mission, what you will do on the mission, where it will take place, sponsoring organization and why you need financial support in order to participate. The Drama Team will consider all requests and may approve one or more scholarships and the amount to be awarded to each. Requests will be received until March 30 th. Please give your request to a member of the Drama Team in a sealed envelope. You may call Jim Taylor at if you have questions. WMUMC Prayer Chain If you have a prayer request that you want sent out on the prayer chain, send the request to Jim Rogers, 68eagle@cox.net. If you would like to be added to the prayer chain Jim at this same address. Lenten Offering Our Lenten Offering is designated for Denbigh United Christian Outreach (50%) and Lackey Free Clinic (50%). You may contribute with the Lenten Offering envelope in your envelope box or by designating your contribution for Lent. Vaughan A presentation of the Living Word Drama Ministry Praise and Chancel Choirs Easter Sunday March 31 Sonrise Service 6:30 am led by our youth Sonrise Breakfast 7:30 am 8:30 am Sanctuary Service 9:00 am The Lampstand in the Celebration Center 10:00 am Sunday School 11:15 am Sanctuary Service Clothing and School Supplies Needed for Local Elementary School The Community Missions Team, part of the Outreach Committee, invites all our members to consider donating school and a few clothing supplies/items to the local Epes Elementary School (K-5 th grade), located only two miles from Warwick Memorial and we have learned there s an urgent need for the following: Book bags Composition Books Crayons, Pencils Hats Gloves Socks The Epes Elementary administrative staff cares deeply about their babies as they are fondly referred. The staff appreciates our help so much. We will collect these items until Sunday, March 31 st. Please place donations in the Center area in the bin marked Local Missions, The Mary Freeman Circle will meet this Monday, March 4 at 7 pm at the home of Sina Hofler. The Dana Tyson/Ardell Lett Circle will meet on Tuesday, March 5th at 10:30 am in the Aldersgate Classroom. Kay Fippinger is in charge of the program. VBS Team Members and Other Volunteers There will be a meeting on Tuesday, March5th at 6.pm in the Aldersgate classroom for all team members and anyone wishing to volunteer with us this summer. We will meet to plan and give out materials. The Fun Fair will begin soon, June This year should be bigger and better because we are hoping to partner with another church. Join us for a wonderful event for our children. Lilys remaining after the 11:15 pm service on Easter will be delivered to our homebound members. Place your order form and payment in the offering. Save the Date March 12 ALL WOMEN ARE INVITED to join our United Methodist Women on a visit to the Wesley Community Service Center in Portsmouth. We plan to meet at the church at 9:30 am on Tuesday, March 12 to carpool. This center is a national mission institution offering programs and services. It is part of the VA Conference Advance Specials for mission opportunities. Please call Cindy Skaggs at for further information. We plan to do lunch after our visit.
