Good news, God is lifting up the lowly! Good news, God is about do his mightiest work! He will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth from all nations. We light the third Advent candle remembering that God s Promised One comes to comfort all who are afflicted and to afflict all who might be too comfortable. We call out to God O Come, O Come Emmanuel. *HYMN 203 Hail to the Lord s Anointed ELLACOMBE *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Let us affirm our faith. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

Breakfast quiche, grits with bacon, juice and coffee will be provided by Central, but we need your wonderful holiday treats to complete the brunch. The Growing in Faith Through Service (GIFTS) Sunday School Class is putting together Christmas presents for our brothers and sisters in Christ at Haywood St. Last year, through your generosity, we were able to give each person 11 city bus tickets. The recipients were thrilled and very thankful. Pastor Brian expects a bigger crowd this year with Christmas being on Wednesday. We are asking for your support in providing these much needed tickets again this year. Any size contribution is greatly appreciated. Class members will have jars after the service for your donations. Just look for the Bus Stop signs. Thank you!!!!
