PRAYER DIARY A daily prayer guide for the work of The Faith Mission JUNE - SEPTEMBER 2016 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven He has made everything beautiful in its time. a Ecclesiastes 3:1,11

A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR FOR ENGLAND POINTS FOR PRAYER AND PRAISE Having grown up on a farm and still having an interest in all things farming, I take notice of the farming calendar, always look for the first lambs in spring, the first silage cut and first grain harvested, etc. Pondering this lately, I began thinking about how the seasons give us different opportunities for evangelism. This edition of Prayer Diary covers the summer season, which offers many unique opportunities. As I write, a number of tent missions and Bible weeks are in progress, as well as open air services and door-to-door visitation. During the months of July and August, there are twentyseven children and youth camps and the summer conventions in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Durrow in the Irish Midlands. Let me also highlight Rejuvenate, the youth programme of Edinburgh Convention for sixteen to twenty-five year olds. What amazing opportunities these afford us for evangelism! Mark & Sheena Nelson leave the work of the Mission at the end of June, when Mark takes up the pastorate of Plains Evangelical Church in Scotland. We trust they will continue to know the Lord s blessing in this next step in the Lord s service. Thank you for standing with us in this work for the Lord. We are deeply grateful for all your encouragement, prayer and financial support. Please pray with us that we would be instant in season and out of season as we preach the Word this summer. DAVID & MARJORIE BENNETT praise the Lord... There have been so many opportunities of presenting the great message of the gospel over this past winter. The ladies breakfast was a special encouragement. Pray that we will see fruit for the glory of God. Heather Wilson gives God praise for His help and blessing on the recent mission in Churchhill, County Fermanagh, and the Fit 4 Life series which saw a number of new ladies attending. MERVYN & RACHEL TOMB are grateful for answered prayer... We thank God for a very worthwhile theme night with George Conn in Fenagh in May, with many local people attending. This was a real answer to prayer. Ask the Lord to continue His work in lives. Many thanks, e Alistair Patterson GENERAL HEADQUARTERS Add: Tel: Fax: Govan House, 548 Gilmerton Road, Edinburgh, EH17 7JD (0131) hq@faithmission.org (0131) Web: Faith Mission & Missionary Training Home (known as The Faith Mission) is a charity registered in Scotland No. SC005119

DONNIE & CATHERINE MACLEOD rejoice... God is using and blessing the Tent Mission ministry around the Highlands and Islands. Recently Donnie, with a team which included four of our Bible College students, conducted a tent mission in Oban. From the very beginning, there was a sense of God s presence and expectancy as we waited to see His purposes unfold. There was much cause for thankfulness as new people came each night and, as time went on, it was evident that the Lord was working in lives. Many Christians spoke of how they were blessed and uplifted, and some who had drifted away got help in returning to God. We thank Him for the privilege of sharing the gospel in Oban and for the help and kindness shown by His people. Also, we are grateful for Oban Prayer Union which meets faithfully to pray for the work of The Faith Mission.

TIMOTHY & EMMA CONDY thank God... We are grateful to God for His goodness during the North Ulster Bible Weekend in the tent at Carnlea. The ministry of God s Word from Rev Billy Park and Rev Andrew Mullan was challenging and powerful, with many indicating how God had spoken to them. This year we introduced a children s programme and it was encouraging to have unsaved parents come along as a result of this. Numbers rose to over 180 on Sunday night with new people attending who would not normally come to FM events. God also blessed us with favourable weather. We have much to thank Him for! TREVOR & SANDRA MATTHEWS share... The whole Easter weekend was a time of praise and thanksgiving as all FM Staff in Ireland, along with most of the workers in England and Scotland and FMBC Staff and Students, joined together to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the annual Bangor Convention. People of all ages came from all over Ireland, some from Scotland and England, and a number from other countries across Europe. It was great to have almost thirty visitors from Canada. We know God did a deep work in many hearts, with some indicating a call to Christian service. The new FM publication Tide of Blessing is proving to be a real inspiration to our praying people.

The map shows the District abbreviations which are used throughout the diary and includes contact addresses should you need more information. Events and Missions that continue for a prolonged period are highlighted on pages at the back of the diary, so that you can pray throughout their duration, as well as beforehand and afterwards. Comments regarding Prayer Diary can be sent to prayerdiary@faithmission.org. Please remember the doorto-door visitation which is a vital part of all these missions and often commences one or two weeks prior to the meetings. Also ask the Lord to use the literature that will go into thousands of homes through this outreach.
