2 NOTICES Midweek Worship and Forthcoming Services St Mary s Care Centre Service The next St Mary s Care Centre Service will take place on Wednesday 29 th April starting at 11:30AM. Morning Prayers Most Tuesday s at St Mary s at 9:00AM please check with a member of the Team, particularly across holiday periods! Thursday Holy Communion Each Thursday morning we meet at St Nicholas for an informal Communion service, starting at 9:15AM. This is followed by Coffee Shop at the St Nicholas Centre. Children and Young People NEXT LEVEL Tuesday 28 th April at St. Mary s 5:30pm. (For year olds). If you are school year 7 or 8 and would like to know more about what we do, please contact Margaret on or Gill McIver. Next JAM Club Wednesday 29 th April, at St. Mary s, after school until 5:00pm. For children in reception to school year 6. We are Children s University registered. Next 100% BOSS Tuesday 5 th May at St. Mary s 5:30 7:00pm. For children in school years 4-7. We are Children s University registered.

3 Vineyard Youth Club: We are now at maximum numbers and have a waiting list for new members. Meet Fridays 7.30pm to 9.30pm in term time in St Nicholas Centre. Enquiries to Hilary.mason24@gmail.com. LIFE a group for teenagers held at Elm Hall Drive on Sunday evenings 6:30pm. (Not 2nd Sundays) RESTORED- (2 nd Sundays) at Trinity Page Moss, 7:00pm. For more information contact Margaret on Other notices The Rev Frank Cain has accepted the appointment of Team Rector in Halewood & Hunts Cross. Frank is currently the Vicar of St James & Emmanuel New Brighton. His licensing will probably take place in early autumn. Please pray for Frank & Sue as they prepare to move and for the churches of St John s & Emmanuel. Halewood Annual Parochial Church Meeting The Halewood APCM will be held at St Mary s church on Tuesday 28 April starting at 7.30pm. This is the meeting at which we review the previous year, Jan-Dec 2104 and appoint people to various roles in both churches. We also receive details of the numbers on our churches electoral rolls. Nomination forms for membership of the two church councils and for those who wish to be sidespersons will be available shortly. This meeting is open to all church members but only those who are on the electoral roll are eligible to vote. If you are not already on the electoral roll and would like to be, please ask for a form at either church. Holiday Club planning meeting Thursday 30 th April 7:00pm at Dave and Elaine Crerar s. Friday 1 st May 7:30pm: Reuben Morley (Billy Graham Evangelistic Organisation) and Andrew Cannon sharing how he was saved from alcohol and drug addiction. Saturday 2 nd 7:30pm: Justyn Rees Larcombe- hear his story, a gambler who lost everything. Sunday 3 rd 10:30 am-reuben Morley. 6:30pm-Paul Wilson (Methodist Evangelicals Together) Monday 4 th 7:30pm: Alistair Patterson (Faith Mission) For more information contact Rev Jones Confirmation: This year the confirmation service will be held on Sunday 14 June 3pm at St Nicholas Church. Confirmation preparation will begin in the week beginning 19 April 2015 and take place across the team at the following times: Groups for adult candidates 9am Sunday morning in the St Nicholas Centre 7:30pm on Tuesday 7 Kingsmead Drive, L25 0NG starting 5 th May. Preparation for young people will be on Thursday from 7pm at St Mary s. Please speak to Colin, Andrew, Alison, Jane or Margaret if you are interested in being confirmed and would like further information. Youth Confirmation will be held on Thursday evenings, beginning on the 7 th May at St. Mary s from 7-00 to 8:15pm. Please see Jane or Margaret if you are a young person and wish to be confirmed. Christian Aid Week 2015 Collectors are needed for Christian Aid Week / 10th -16th May A few of our collectors are standing down this year (after many years of dedicated fund raising in Halewood). Many thanks to you all for your hard work and for the money you have raised to enable Christian Aid to help others less fortunate than ourselves. As a result we are in need of new collectors. If you feel that you could spare an hour or two during the week of

5 10th - 16th May please get in touch with Penni Conlon on or District Testimony Service to be held on 17 th May 2015 at 6.30pm at Blundellsands Methodist Church. Please come along to hear the testimonies of our probationers as they journey towards ordination. This includes Michaela Doherty from our Circuit. Blind Wine Quiz + Fun Evening Saturday 6 th June at St Nicholas Centre, 7.30pm. Tickets 8 available from Gill Muir, Pat Hatchard or any member of the fund raising team. The Methodist Conference at Southport Theatre and Convention Centre 25 th June 2 nd July. Volunteers needed for Help desk and drivers. We are always looking for more people to add to our rota, working either ; or better still all day.
