Please note: Because of some gaps in our Adoration scheduling, the ending time of our All-Day Adoration has been changed. It will start immediately following the 8:00 AM Mass as usual but it will end at 1:00 PM. We hope to renew our schedule soon and find enough of people interested in covering each of the adoration hours to extend it longer again. Each priest will witness to the workings of the Holy Spirit during his call to the priesthood and throughout his priestly ministry. Thank you to Fr. The theme is "Freedom to Bear Witness." In observance of the Fortnight, Bishop Mark Bartchak will preside at a Holy Hour on June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona. The Holy Hour will include Evening Prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and a homily from the Bishop. All are invited to join Bishop Bartchak and others in prayer for the preservation of our religious liberty. ST. JOHN S HOLY HOUR: We will have a special Holy Hour on Friday evening, July 3rd, from 7:00-8:00 PM in the church. We will have Exposition and Benediction, some communal prayers and quiet time to pray for the USA on the eve of Independence Day. Please try to come and join us. This collection provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. This donation will assist with the tuition of a student(s) attending our school. We appreciate the generosity of our alumni and would like to thank Rita J. MASS OF BLESSING The following St. John School 5 th graders participated in a Mass of Blessing on May 26th: Gabrielle Brezler, Liam Carey, Anna Cingle, Ty Cronin, Calvin Dechow, Sarah Grove, Abagail Kellogg- Long, Mallory McCauley, Jacob Niemann, Rachel Smoyer, Claire Topper, Lexie Vangor and Samuel Yangula. May God bless these students as they continue their educational journeys; sharing the patience, love, peace and wisdom shown to them during their years at St. John School. Thank you to the Catholic Daughters for their donation towards the reception after Mass and the patron saint medals given to each student, and to Joe Klimek for his time and talent on the 5 th grade memory video. Thanks also to the Knights of Columbus for the prayer books and the Home & School Association for the St. John School crocks given to each 5 th grader as a token of their years at St. John School. OLV BASEBALL BUS TRIP SCHEDULED Join the OLV Parish trip to the Pittsburgh Pirates. We will attend the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves Baseball Game on June 27 at 4:05 PM.
